About

This area is the best in Palermo for social drinking. This bar is particularly good with indoor option, outside in the street or at a table in what is effectively a cool record and book store. A mixed clientele of students, book worms and general pubic. My caipirinha was particularly good and great value at circa€5.

Nice staff, great range of music, relatively cheap drinks, a chilled, inclusive place in a fantastic neighbourhood.

I used yo have my morning coffee or afternoon beer here when I lived in Palermo. Really nice guy working there in the mornings, but also nice atmosphere in the night. It has two inside areas on opposite sides or the street, and a third inside area for conserts and other cultural/social activities next door. Unbeatable bar in the old town of Palermo

We had the great fortune of Pablo being the bar-lord during our 3-4 hour afternoon visit. We highlighted our relative ignorance of Italian cocktails and Pablo set out to make amends. Great vibe, music, drinks and rather importantly prices. Pablo was such a gent too taking care of the 4 of us as though old friends. Our favourite dinking establishment in Palermo by a long shot.

We stumbled across this place- actually stumbled out would be more accurate- whilst looking for a particular place to eat. When we saw the lively atmosphere spilling-out into the confined back-street of Bar Garibaldi we couldn't resist going in for a drink before eating. After acquiring two seats at the bar and ordering our first drinks it was clear we were not going to make it to the restaurant. The minutes quickly turned to hours.
The generosity of Palermitans- and Sicilians in general- is what makes for an even more enhanced experience at places like this.

We stumbled upon this great late night bar after dinner. For a Monday night in Palermo it was a lively affair and we had some great chat with Alessandro the barman and he educated us on the local Sicilian wines. Even got us on the Italian gin!
Top place for people watching too!
Highly recommended.

Trendy young things, and a few less so, hang out at this back street bar in the old quarter of town. If you don't mind some fairly ordinary draft Italian beer (though they have a few better ones in bottles), you can come watch the beautiful young things of Palermo attempt to look like they live in New York or Paris. (Or even London!). There's a few tables out in the street, which will all be taken by 6pm, and you can sit inside, but it's best to slouch against a wall, or sit with your Apple Mac on the pavement looking like you are doing important digital branding work (is that even possible?). Seriously, if you want to learn the word for 'nerd' in Italian, the Garibaldi is your best bet!

Located in one of the side streets in Palermo this bar was a great find. When busy the whole crowd spills out into the narrow street outside.
Very good vale as you will get most drinks for €3 or €4. [We had an Aperol spritz and a 400ml beer for €7].
When we were there the bar put out free tapas type food at 8pm for its customers.
Decorated with a lot of left / socialist themed pictures.
