Perfect day in Palermo with our guide Saro. He was so attentive to helping us find our meeting point with frequent communications. He kept us connected and before and after our day together. Saro tailored the day to our personal interests and gave us plenty time to linger as we wished in any particular location. We would never have had such a memorable trip without his expertise.

It sounds so very cliche to say that, but honestly, upon meeting Don, it was as if we had been friends for years.

We met Don for a cruise excursion in Palermo. While on our cruise, we had many fine guides, but none made us as comfortable or more at home than Don. We would (and have!) recommended Don to anyone traveling in Sicily.

We saw the magnificent Cathedral in Monreale (which cannot be missed) before returning to Palermo to see all the sites. We ate wonderful street food, had an amazing chocolate and dessert wine tasting, and saw many beautiful things. During the entire tour, Don masterly weaved stories of the past and present to show us how Sicily came to be.

In practical terms, I couldn't have had a better experience setting up the tour. Don responded immediately. He was very flexible and was excellent at making suggestions when we admitted we didn't know enough of Palermo to know what the must-sees were. Don met us right at the pier, so there were no worries about how to meet him.

As someone told me, you'll remember the experience long after you forget the price, so please trust me. Book with Don Saros. You will not regret it.

I went to Palermo, Sicily, Italy last month and Don Saro was my personal guide tour. He is a very good man and very friendly. He didn't take me as his client he take me as his brother.I didn't even think that he was my guide. I was two days there and he was with me like my brother and my best friend. I didn't went see sights I went to find one of my friend and he helped me as much as i need and he spend more hour then i book him. I didn't find my friend but i found him as my friend. I was happy and safe with him in a unknown city. I contact with others tour guide but they didn't agree to help me only Don Saro was with me and helped me a lot that i dint expect that much. Very friendly and informative guide. Took us to interesting sites and the food market. Pointed out
interesting and delicious foods - including a seafood cocktail (squid, octopus, shrimp, clams,
mussels) for about $1 euro. Showed us the best cannoli in all of Italy. Spent 3 hours and only
charged for 2. I highly recommend him.

We hired Saro for a tour while in Palermo and from the moment we met him we were not disappointed. Saro felt like a long time friend, he took us on a walking tour of the historical area of Palermo. We visited several cathedrals and he provided us with a knowledge of the styles and history of the cathedrals we would not have gotten on our own. We visited the town of Chefalu and a small town where our ancestors lived. It was an awesome experience, the highlight of my trip to Sicily. I highly recommend Saro, he is the best.

We are a family of 4 and first contacted Saro for the free Palermo walking tour.We had such a positive experience that we booked him for our next 2 days. After words he drove us to Monreale to see the Duomo..he is a great, interesting, fun and knowledegable guy.He will help with any request .He really made our trip great.

Saro was our guide in Palermo and he was just amazing. Saro is very personable, and a lot of fun to be with. He really knows all the historical information and all the must see sights. He personalizes the tour to your wants and he is very accommodating to please. He also knows where to eat the best cannolo and gelato. Because of my love for cannolo he brought us to a shop that makes and ships cannoli shells throughout Italy and even to the United States. Needless to say the shopkeeper Maria also filled some shells for us to taste. He also drove us to see our ancestral village and we had an amazing time with the local residents there. We thought we'd never get away. Saro also ordered some local delicacies for us to taste as well as some local beverages. Saro also brought us to Cefalu a quaint fishing village with a beach and a lot of restaurants and shops. He is tops on our list! If we come back to Palermo to visit we will certainly
hire him again. Anne H USA

We hired Don Saro to guide us in Sicily after completing a 12 day bus tour of the mainland. Don picked us up at the airport in Palermo and drove us to Petraglia Sottana, a small village in the mountains. Wife was looking for family, so we spent several days on our own knocking on doors and visiting the cemetary.
On departure from Petraglia, Don took us to several other villages and cemetaries in the area. He is terrific, acting as translator as well as guide for us. Although my wife wasn't as successful as she had hoped, our wanderings were made all the more enjoyable by Don Saro. He is thoroughly familiar with the countryside and local towns. We even stopped in a seaside village for lunch and shopping.
Don drove us to out hotel in Palermo, suggested several places for dinner, and picked us up the next morning for our departure. We just have to say, after a couple days we felt Don was like family. We recommend him highly for touring and guide service. He is a most friendly, amicable fellow who you just have to like right off the bat.
If you need a guide in Sicily, CALL DON!

We visited Sicily in September and spent 4 days in Palermo. We engaged Don Saro for tours on 2 of these days. The first day was a walking tour of Palermo. Don Saro is fantastic, full of information, engaging. It was as though we were exploring a new city with a brother who lived there. Interesting history, funny stories and great food reccomendations.

The second day we went to Cefalu and explored the town, gad a swim before heading into the hills where we went horse riding for 3 hour through the vineyards and olive trees. After our ride we went to Castelbuono a hillside town.

There were 4 of us including my 2 children aged 16 and 12.
We wished we could have taken Don Saro with us for the rest of our holiday, he is that good. We would recommend him to anyone touring in Palermo or surrounds.

We booked a walking tour with this company on our 1st day in Palermo and had a great 3 hours. Rosario used his knowledge of his city to taylor the tour to our interests including a visit to the antique market. I would advise anyone thinking of going to Palermo to book a tour as it will give you added information that you will not find in any travel guide. We found ourselves looking at the city in a different way as we passed by pleaces we had been shown.
We took the advice and had a drink on the Hotel terrace recommended and Rosairo was quite correct it was a highlight of the week.
Hope to come back and see more of Sicily soon.
