I was very happy that I made the short trip from the city center to this villa. One can visit the ground floor of the villa and gardens. The inside of the villa contains lovely furnishings and beautiful painted walls/ceilings. It will not take a long time to tour the villa. One needs to imagine how the house was back... More

Thankfully Palermo has just in time realised this is another jem! It is run by a trust endowed by the original family, the Whittakers, but it is far from rolling in cash to keep it up. Do not expect an NT standard of decoration, repair, guidance or cleanliness! But, it is worth going to see and hopefully the more people... More

The Garden around the villa is lovely. The villa itself is a bit expensive (6 €). It is a collection of art pieces from around the world I think. No explanation was given. you need to ring the bell in order to get in.

Like many places in and around Palermo Villa Malfitano is sadly neglected. If you are passing do enter and walk around as there is no charge. The day we visited the villa was closed, and the grounds were in need for regular maintenance. What was once a grand villa with lovely gardens has been allowed to fall into disrepair.
