One of the main squares in Catania. It was lively and there are some very nice places to eat, have an ice-cream or granita looking at an amazing Duomo.

This is a must do in Catania. Enjoy this pedestrian area full of monuments and coffee bar where you can taste siciliana specialties like "cannolo alla siciliana " or arancini di riso (fried rice balls with ragù sauce inside)

Expect your teenagers to be bored. Go down to castle urbino instead for something to look at. Roman theatre is also well priced. Not much to see. Shopping centres are further north in the city.

In effect you can go there any day, any time there were many people - but isn't disturb. This Piazza is trimmed, cleared. There were many guid, they are poorly push suggest the city-guide busses.

If you come to Catania, you will surely visit this piazza since it's in front of the very grand and lovely Duomo. Lots of people around, coffee, drinking and eating. Big open space.

Yes, there is a big parking near the Piazza Duomo, not very expensive.

Yes. It is really easy and close, just exit from the port, turn left and walk following the archs. You'll arrive at "Porta Uzeda" at your right. Cross it and you'll be there.
