Garbage everywhere
Apr 2018 • Couples
We couldn’t spend more than 5 minutes in there ! There was a ton of garbage everywhere ... don’t even bother out of season.

Nice beach
Sep 2017 • Friends
The beach is very beautiful with a nice view of Mount Etna and the city of Catania. Unfortunatley some people where burning something in the background so that the whole beach was smokey. It's something that often happens in Sicily since they burn a lot in farming.

Usual beach
Jul 2017 • Solo
Dog Beach is not a bad place to spend summer days, however you can visit nicer beaches around. There was no cafe or bistro to buy food or drinks. It's a long golden sand beach with an Etna view behind. However, if u are going to spend in Catania just one or two days, go somewhere else :)

Not great
Apr 2015 • Couples
This is a beach that seems unloved and uncared for. It is very long, but without cafes or restaurants. Planes landing at Catania overfly at one end and at the other there is a view of the town and in the distance Mount Etna.

Does not seem very busy out of season.

Filthiest beach I've ever seen, but good views of Etna
Oct 2014
18 kilometres of golden sand sadly COVERED in rubbish. Fridge-freezers, plastic, polystyrene, toys - it's got the lot. Such a shame, because otherwise it would be a great beach. Really easy to get to on the D bus from the city centre, a few cafes open along the road, but otherwise nicely relaxed off season.
