We spent a one beautiful day in Aci Castello, in one of the beach clubs. The surroundings were magnificent with the lava rocks and clear blue water. You are also able to rent a SUP or kayak for little exploring of your own.

Visited there on a bright sunny day. The crystal clear waters around the castle make for some great photo ops. Great place to see.

Aci Castello is a lovely village with a majestic castle overlooking the sea. The promenade is very nice and the sea is very inviting for a nice swim.

One of my favorite spots around Catania, only 20 minutes by car away from it. I like it to take pictures because of its scenic background, to walk around, to swim in summer. Strongly recommended to any tourist, the view is very amazing and the historical castle on top of a small hill beautiful! Warning: can get very very busy,... More

Went on the bus from Catania (the local bus). Beautifully set on the coastline and although quiet a few good places to eat and drink. We also visited the castle which provided fantastic panoramic views. The place itself had a traditional feel and although out the way I would definitely consider returning to this particular place for a holiday.

Very interesting Norman Castle close to Catania. Worth going to see and climbing to see internal aspects and views over Catania and the coast..

Dramatically perched above a rugged coastline, the Aci Castello is a castle made from lava rock and when you climbed to the top you were able to see a view of Catania, the lovely port and the coastline. There is a fee to get in but it's the best way to get the most out of the castle.
