Checco and his family have done a tremendous job in showing me around Aritzo, with the absolute highlight being the cooking class at the family house. Amazingly positive energy and going beyond expectations made for a memorable day! I'll be back :)

My wife and I did this with another couple, the trip is well organised and insightful. You drive around the vineyards that are about 30 minutes outside of Cagliari and get to learn about the wine making process. You spend time with Giuseppe a charismatic winemaker who clearly has a passion for what he does and the Sardinian way of life. We enjoyed 2 bottles of wine and some Mirto. There is no doubting the quality of his produce, some home made honey and a yeast like jam which both accompanied the cheese so well. My problem with the day was not the quality of everything as it was outstanding but just the price as for me this should be no more than 60 euros per person, it was also not a half day but about 3 hours.

Signed up for the Half-day wine tour with small group. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with 2 other couples and our outstanding tour guide, Francesco! Francesco gave us an awesome tour of the city and countryside! Sardinian wines made by Giuseppe were all exceptional! Purchased one to go and had a case shipped. Recommend taking cash, bottles are from €15-€30. Overall it was a great experience and we saw sights around the city that we wouldn't have had we not taken the tour. Highly recommend! Thanks Francesco!

In September I had a few days in Cagliari prior to an organised tour of Sardinia and Corsica and was looking for something interesting to fill in the time in Cagliari. All tour companies required a min. of 2 for a booking so as a solo traveller I was unable to book. However, Francesco promised to inform me if he received other bookings and was as good as his word, contacting me as soon as he received another booking. He was a fabulous guide, picking us up at our hotels at the appointed time, taking us on a bit of a tour of the area before we visited the winery, providing us with lots of local information and even leaving us each with a plate of beautiful Sardinian cakes prepared for his birthday the day before. The winery tour was wonderful and, after a tour of the vineyards and "cellars' with the owner, we were treated to beautiful local food prepared by the vigneron's wife and glasses of extremely nice wine from the winery. This tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Europe.

We just got back from a week in Sardinia and were lucky to have Francesco Manca as our tour guide. He's intelligent, thoughtful, and knowledgeable about history, art, wine, food, geology, hiking - you name it, he's experienced it and is happy to share his passions with you. Yes, he brought us home-made traditional amazing cookies, yes, he took us to places were weren't even scheduled to visit because he thought we needed to see them, yes, he invited us into his family's home to see incredible authentic costumes. And yes, we had excellent wine from a local producer who makes wines so wonderful they are on the Queen' wine list. And he made us lunch with his own home-made meats. And he brought a coffee maker all the way to the top of the hike so we could have fresh coffee during lunch. I can't even think of all the special touches, much less remember all the information he shared. I can say without reservation that if you are going to Sardinia for any length of time, you would be very very lucky to have Francesco as your guide. (And as a side note, I strongly encourage everyone to visit Sardinia. It has everything, fascinating history, beautiful scenery, amazing beaches, and delicious cuisine and wine. We are frequent travelers and have just bumped Sardinia to the top of our list of places to which we will return.)
