It's small and dirty. Only bus number 11 goes there, but it turns out that it has a rather complicated schedule, so for some reason Google maps won't even tell you to take it.
I only went there to hike to the devil's saddle, which is a great experience!

Calamosca Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the city of Calgary if not in Sardinia. Away from settlements with crystal clear water, it offers complete enjoyment of nature, sun, and seawater.

Nothing special but yet beautiful. This was one of the first beaches we cruised in Sardinia. Everything was closed in the end of april and noone was there. There were a lot of abandoned cats though, sad thing for an animal lover.

The only interesting thing is that is “in town”. Otherwise too small, not clean, not so transparent water (not polluted, but not fantastic nice), too rocky, uninteresting bar...

For us this is the type of beach we enjoy resting and switching off on for a few hours.
Poetto is too commercial for us but others will enjoy it.
The previous reviews of Calamosca say it all but if you get the chance (we cycled up) to a little further up the hill, passed the hotel, to a small restaurant/terrace named ‘La Paillote’. Worth it for the views alone!

Nice, little beach. Completely different than Poetto beach. Out of touristic places. Takes a nice walk with scenic views of the local hills to get to the beach, but it is effort worth to take.

Lots of locals here enjoying the sand and warm waters. Easy access, pleasant place to go at the end of the day while the sun still high enough.

I host people from all over the world and when it comes to going to the beach in my town, Cagliari, most of them prefer Cala Mosca because it is protected from our strong Mistral, while when Sirocco blows it doesn't bring as much sea weed as in our main beach, Poetto.
At the end of viale Calamosca, on the left hand side, it is also possible to easily climb the "Sella del Diavolo" and take a walk up there enjoying the panoramic view all around.

The beach is not all that big, however, there is plenty of room to settle and STILL be able to keep an eye on your stuff whilst in the ocean.

This is a delightful beach - during the week the bus doesn't take you all the way there but the walk is around 15 minutes and worth it! There is a small bar as well.

Hi, I will be visiting Cagliari (from a cruise ship) on April 12th. I would like to visit Calamosca Beach and Devil's Saddle. From what I have seen online, it looks like the 5/11 bus does not operate during weekdays this time of year. I am looking for alternate transportation options. Do you have any idea how much a cab from the port to Calamosca Beach would cost? Also, how can I catch a cab back from Calamosca Beach to the port in the afternoon?
Thank you in advance for your advice and assistance.
