A wonderful, friendly and relaxed introduction to the history and culture of Cagliari! Alessandro was very kind and knowledgeable and took us to the old historical centre as well as showing us some incredible views of the city, and ending up with a tour of the beautiful San Benedetto market (plus some tasty cheese, ham and wine, very much appreciated!). Alessandro was patient as we explored (and even helped us to buy food for our dinner later!), with good English, and was a very friendly guide, giving us tips and facts we would never have known if we had visited alone. The tour was easy and relaxed, and Alessandro also gave us ideas for what to do for the rest of the day (we went to the Botanic Gardens!). I felt that perhaps the explanation of the history could have been a little clearer/linear as I still feel a bit confused about the context of some of the island’s past, but honestly that is me being picky! The info on the website did not say how long the tour was (Around 2.5 hours), and we had to check the pick-up location because it wasn’t 100% clear (but this was easy to sort out through message with Alessandro), so that extra info would have made it perfect. Overall though this was a friendly and fun introduction to Cagliari and I highly recommend it!

Hi Hannah! The website says that the tour lasts 3 hours and it also corretly says that the meeting point is “in front of the Rinascente building, at the corner between via Roma and Largo Carlo Felice” (just checked, I'm picky too!). After I received your booking I meessaged you writeing your accomodation's address as meeting point, in order to pick you up directly there: I wanted to be kind, I didn't want you getting confused! The island of Sardinia had a very complicated and long history and it would take much more time in order to talk about that in a more detailed way. Anyway, I will treasure of your review and I will try to be more linear in my speech. Best regards, hope to see you again soon in Sardinia :)

Alessandro is the best guide to take you around the oil mill and then onto the vineyard. It was so informative, a real insight into the beautiful culture of Sardinia. Would highly recommend. Also the wine is delicious!

We had an amazing time with Alessandro, the tour of Barumini was interesting and informative. It was great to have a guide who knows the history of Sardinia very well and who can help you to understand more about the archaeological sites. This cultural part of the trip was balanced well with the time we spent exploring the Giara di Gesturi, we were lucky to see so many of the native horses as we walked, it was a beautiful sight and very peaceful location.

A bit out of the way but may be worth the travel time for some. The English tour was pretty bare bones, short, and difficult to understand. Sadly, the only way to even get near the site is via the tour. Ticket price was discounted due to work being done. We basically were talked to for about 10 minutes by the guide while we waited for the last tour to exit then spent about 15 minutes in one area of the site. That's it. There are stairs that lead up to the main tower but we were told it's unsafe, however, we watched the prior Italian tour all walk up those steps during their tour. Go figure.

Dear Sirs, I am sorry that you didn't have the opportunity to really enjoy this impressive and beautiful archaeological complex named "Su Nuraxi", but you posted your review to the wrong business, since this is a private tour provided by Culture Sardinia, my business. Our visit to Su Nuraxi last about 1,5 hour, so much longer than that one you had with a guide from the archaeological park itself. Best regards,
