We visited when there was restoration work taking place (although it looked like it had been going on for years). This meant the only public access was down a short slope on the west side of the site. This took you down to the upper...More

It is a Roman amphitheater, but not much detail is remaining. I have seen many such amphitheaters around the Mediterranean that are more interesting and in a better state of repair. Much of this site can be seen from the adjacent road

Went here early morning so the walk was not too hot. Nice site but only limited access at present. You can get to go down the walkway but not into the anfiteatro itself. Most of the site can be Sen from the road.

This Anfiteatro Romano is a testimony of the Roman past, but it`s a pity that they don`t care about it.

Closed to the public when we were in Cagliari in December 2016 - had to look through a fence but it looked impressive from a distance!

We stopped here on our Segway tour , unfortunately we could only see from the outside as they're is on going restoration work being carried out , but would definately be worth a visit when works completed , it will have a tremendous vista

We love seeing all the Anfiteatros throughout Italy and Greece. We were only able to look through the fence at it. It's on a lovely avenue and worth a look.
