We called him last minute on the day itself, he luckily had a time slot in the evening. We asked for a custom trip to see two sites and then the flamingos. He kindly accepted. When he heard we were on honeymoon he even showed us a beautiful panaroma view outside the paid hours. Great explanations and nice stops for pictures.

Fun way to get to know Cagliari

Mauro was an excellent guide - very punctual and to be honest it's the only way to see the Old Town and much more if you are based at Poetto Beach. The nearest I can describe the experience is like being in one of the Mini's in the Italian Job! Nipping in and out of unmissable narrow streets you would possibly ignore if you were on foot and you certainly couldn't get to with anything bigger than the Tuk Tuk.

Mauro is a font of knowledge about the City and the Tuk Tuk was really comfortable - with its open top and seating for two it is the perfect Covid safe vehicle.

I have rarely had so much fun getting an overview of the City. This is not to be missed!

I fell in love with Calgliari

I absolutely loved the ride with the tuktuk trough the city of Cagliari. I enjoyed the whole ride, amazing view, visit cathedrals and some other places. Tuktuk driver Mauro was really friendly and relaxed. He told me about the city and history.. I would recommend to all to take ride of 1,5 hours like I did. I still enjoy this experience.

Our First Tuk Tuk Experience

Enjoyable ride around the city, navigating tight local alleyways and being carted right to the steps of the sights. As we were three people, we had to book to tuk tuks and as we did this only the day before, the second drive didn't speak any English. Not a deal breaker but that info would have been nice to know when booking. I'd have liked the tour to last a bit longer to allow more stops as it felt rushed in areas as you're forced to take pics while moving. The guide was quite knowledgeable and friendly. Overall a good experience and a nice was to the see the city.

Wonderful tour!

Cagliari is a tricky city to explore--some of the attractions are at high elevation, others are at sea level. Several require navigating your way through a tangled maze of streets without a reliable and detailed map. The Ape Calessino takes all the stress out of it! You experience everything without wondering how it will all get done.

Mauro gave us a very thorough tour. His agenda was interesting, knowledgeable, and detailed. He was an excellent guide. We really felt like we got a good intro to the city. I would recommend this tour to anyone who has limited time but unlimited curiosity about a fascinating place.

Best way to see all of Cagliari

Definitely best way to see Cagliari. We took the 2.5hr tour in which we went round all 4 quarters of the city with stops at various landmarks for photos. We were a family of five with ages varying from 5 years old to 65 years old and I can safely say all of us had a blast. And although it was the middle of summer the breeze flowing through the tuk tuk made the whole journey very pleasant. Mauro was well informed and knew exactly his way round the city. Would definitely recommend.

Best way to see Cagliari

This is the best way to see Cagliari especially if you don't want to walk around forever. Most sites/landmarks require you walk through streets that are too narrow for most cars and tour vans. But not with the APE CALLESSIMO. We were able to drive right thru. And there are only a handful in the city so make sure to make your reservations ASAP because you will not find any near the port. Mauro was great and the tour was enjoyable. Highly recommended
