Alot of rubbish had been swept up and the beach itself had a fair bit of rubbish on it, including needles. The water was full of jellyfish so i got stung as did a few others, otherwise a lovely beach.

Sandy beach in front shady trees. Sea as is warm, Crystal clear in a large horse bay, easy for swimming.
Plenty of cafe/restaurants but not over crowded. Good car parking but you do have pay, small price when you can relax.
We came 4 days out of seven.

Beautiful beach, very close to the center, in a very natural landscape. Good parking and a lot of restaurants and services.

We took the bus from Alghero to visit this beach based on the TA reviews. It was a really nice beach with sufficient amenities to make a whole afternoon there (in between the sporadic busses) comfortable. There were quite a lot of people but that didn’t detract from the tranquility and enjoyment. The bus was really comfortable and only took 30moms. We had cocktails and lunch at Le Ninfe on the beach which was amazing - see separate review.

Mugoni Beach is a pearl near Alghero. Even in October. Fine white sand, crystal waters, perfect for beach walkings.

Don’t miss this gem of a beach. Immaculate sand and crystalline.blue waters so long as the council keeps up its cleaning obligation. Parking in high summer is not cheap but quite close to the beach. Beach bars are ok but stay simple as their attempts to broaden out with a more expansive menu has mixed results. Great swimming

Amazing scenery, clean beach. Crowed, but obviously expected if you're going in mid-August. Despite lots of people, seems peaceful somehow.

Very crowded beach in august. You need to make a reservation for the sunbeds. Didn’t know that, we found out there.

We have been going to Mugoni for years. This year it has sadly become too busy with people leaving their rubbish everywhere. The beach was dirty every day with litter all over it (on the beach, in the water and in the pines) including broken glass, ring pulls, dirty nappies and used wipes - just not so safe for anyone’s feet, let alone small children. Mugoni also had a real problem with algae at the shoreline. Despite being near Alghero this is the first year we have experienced this. Local people were also complaining they’d never seen the beach so dirty. So disappointing. We found Maria Pia beach to be far cleaner and better for the children this year, plus it’s much closer to Alghero which works great for us.
