Our guide was Fabrizio. Big shoutout for his ability to lead a group in a nice, interactive way while still making sure we learn something about the city's history, culture and heritage. I especially liked the way the historical outline was presented... but no spoilers here, I really recommend to join the tour and of course tip the guide generously at the end!

The best walking tour ever.

Bari Old Town is magical and special by itself, but when Fabrizio is around, everything just shine brighter. A super friendly person with amazing energy and great knowledge and connection to the history of the place, Fabrizio made the two and a half hour tour to feel like a chat with your best friend. Getting to know the tales, the myths and the dialects of this amazing place was an unforgettable experience which I recommend completely.

Dynamic tour of a beautiful old town

Fabrizio made this one of the best free walking tours experiences I have had in Europe. He delivers the information at a great pace and finds ways to make the history interactive, rather than rattling off dates and names. Seriously, this tour could have gone for another hour and I wouldn't have complained.

Being a local, he clearly has a great knowledge of - and relationship with - Bari. You get all the historical stuff, plus a lot of myths and legends about the old city and fantastic tips for modern Bari.

Great experience

We had a two hour walk starting from the old town to Murat. Our guide Fabrizio gave an enthusiastic presentation not only of the historical facts and sights but also about the barese spirit and life style. Meeting the guy that is the ice dealer for the whole town (there is actually an ice dealer, yes) and the lady making orecchiette pasta on the street is something you hardly find on your own and cannot simply google out. While Fabrizio was talking about how orecchiette are served a couple of old ladies started to shout their best recepies from their window - it's just priceless. After having around 20 free walking tours around the world that was probably one of the most authentic, enthusiastic, relaxed and friendly walks ever. Fabrizio was kindly providing good advices for foodies and the things to do, not only in the town but also in the rest of Puglia region.

No-show despite confirming

The booking of the tour was confirmed by e-mail but when we arrived at the meeting point, the tour guide never showed up. We were among about 12 other people who booked this tour. I have never experienced this before. The company was not reachable by phone and after about 20 minutes of waiting everyone left.. quite the disappointment. Interestingly enough, after a few hours, the company sent an invitation to rate the experience!

Hi Victoria, Thanks for your feedback. We are deeply saddened for your bad experience and discomfort, we apologize because we assume our responsibilities. We are immensely frustrated for the negative impact that the disservice had on the 12 of you. Unfortunately, it did happened a miss communication among Anna (booking) and our new guide Sara. She was not update to be in charge for your free tour on the 2nd December, as well as replying to the phone. We hope you can understand despite we have no excuses for it. Best way to visit Bari

We loved our Free Walking Tour with Fabrizio. Best way to visit Bari Vecchia and a bit of the new city as well. We didn't expect to enter the Cathedral, that was a nice plus of the tour since usually free walking tours don't include going into buildings.
Fabrizio was very nice and gave us great tips to enjoy the city.

The best free tour ever!

Amazing! We did this tour with Fabrizio and it was just perfect. Funny, interesting and full of historical details, we had a great time and would totally recommend this to every tourist visiting Bari. I have done a lot of free tours and this one was definitely the best I've ever done. Thank you Fabrizio for being the best guide and for showing us Bari :)

Good but not honest

The tour was lovely. Unfortunately, the guide was not quite so honest. When asking for change when we wanted to pay, Paulina said she did not have a 10 euro note, even though we saw it in her pocket. This was really rather unprofessional. I recommend doing the tour, but paying less or having the cash readily available. Otherwise, you may experience something similar. Her advice for other areas in Puglia was also more average than helpful.

Excellent and enjoyable tour with a local

The guide was a local and told us about history, daily life habits in Bari, traditions and places to visit. It was entertaining and it's perfect for starting your holidays in Bari, to learn something about the historic background and also to get insider information of Bari, to continue discovering Bari. I recommend it 100%

A historical and cultural insight into the colorful Bari city and its people

The tourguide was very friendly, knowegable and positive. We felt the typical old town Bari athmosphere getting lost in the tiny streets, communicating with the locals, getting to know their everyday lifes and traditions as well as some historical points in the development of the area that lead to Bari being as we know it today. We also got some great recommendations where to try best authentic local dishes. I greatly recommend giving the tour a try, you won't regret it.
