UNESCO's Alberobello and Matera from Bari

48 reviews
With a private guide, visit two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in one day. First, explore Matera, including the Sassi area, a complex of cave dwellings carved into the mountainside. Nearby, rock churches house 13th-century frescoes. Then it’s on to Alberobello to see the Trulli, an awe-inspiring collection of mortarless limestone dwellings, a prehistoric building technique still used in the region.

A very nice park to have a walk and it is not far from the central station, approximately 10 minutes walk.

Took a long walk to visit the park. Was underwhelming to say the least. The turtles in the pond were amusing but that only lasts about 5 minutes. Probably nicer to walk around in the summer or if you have a dog to walk.

Nice green park , for walks or to find a bench in the shadow; many trees and paths, natural environnments, a peaceful place for adults and to have a good time with children.

It's the kind of park to get away from the daily noise of the city, yet there is not much peace in it as many children play there as well as adults and it is surrounded by apartment buildings as well as main streets.. Trees are far apart in certain areas so there isn't much shade. Not much work has been done to make it more appealing in order to truly call it a park.
