The lungomare is well kept and makes for a beautiful walk with views and a lovely breeze coming off of the water. My husband and I watched the locals fishing and the children diving off of the rocks for what seemed like hours. Take a walk to experience and get a sense for the local way of life. A lovely... In a sunny, warm day very nice walking area, about couple of miles long. You can enjoy the sea view.

We ended up seeing a lot more of the Luongmare than we intended as we traversed its length several times, trying to locate the Basilica, as well as parking. Still it is a great view of the harbor with both fishing boats and cruise ships. There is a long, popular promenade for a stroll by the sea.

We enjoyed the walk along the waterfront, punctuated with vistas and ending in the fishing harbor, which is in decline but still Interesting and a bit malodorous as the fish cleaning area ferments in the sun. Good views of Castle Antonio and of the tour boat tourists, Italian tourists and locals enjoying the fresh breezes and sun.

They told us it was one of the major landmarks to visit in Bari. Like all the rest, it was disappointing. You could have a brief stroll there but don't expect too much.

I don't remember the last time when I breathed this much of fresh air! The promenade was walking distance from our hotel St Nicholas Plaza in Old Bari. The promenade is really long and you can enjoy the view of the Adriatic Sea for an infinite amount of time! The promenade is very clean and looks very beautiful even during... More
