Between the two piers of San Nicola and San Antonio there is the old port, with many colorful boats, in the morning you can see the stalls of fresh fish.

This is a definite must to go in Bari if you like the sea, fishing and seafood. Early in the morning you can watch fishermen at work and eat their fresh produce. We bought a plate of ousters and another of sea urchins (ricci) with the combined price of 10 €. Wonderful taste!

Very interesting place, with lots of colorful fishing boats. In the morning, there are the fishermen selling freshly caught fish or playing cards with a beer in front.

All Apulia region is a unique and beautiful.
Every town has a beautiful old and historic part . History is reflecting everywhere and people are very friendly, and off course- food is great.

Here in the morning you may find the local fishermen unload their barks, you can buy fresh fish and other seafood directly from them. Also, the fish market is on the other side of the port.

Just next door to the ancient part of the city, the Porto Vecchio has its own charms that are worth discovering. As in any small port, you'll find the colorful fishers' boats that please the eye and tease the stomach. As the old port is the kingdom of the seafood: If you drop there around noon, you'll be able to buy and even eat some really fresh mussels, calamari or sea urchins on the spot. Delicious with a well-chilled beer from the open-air bar near-by!

Great place, especially the "old town" with lots of little shops and bars in the tiny streets. Nice modern restuarants and bars in the main town plus easy to get around on local buses for 1 Euro a ride.

The ideal place for boat spotting and relaxing, watching the calm sea and the blue sky. We really enjoyed it.

Located right next to Citte Vecchia, with it's resident colourful fishing boats, yatchs and cruisers moored across the bay: it casts a beautiful sight at night!
