The Basilica is elegant and imposing in what seems to be a strange place as it is surrounded by other buildings of interest. The most impressive is the view you get from the car park as you get fantastic panoramic views over Vicenza and the surrounding area. If you visit on a clear day, ensure you take in the view,... This is a beautiful church and then all you have to do is walk across the parking lot to have a great view of Vicenza. It is worth the trip. There is also a nice restauraunt in the same complex where you can eat -Siete Santi.

I went on a whim since I was in the area. Beauty. Absolute beauty! Parking is right across the street from the church or alongside the road headed up the hill. The facade of the church is stunning. All my photos turned out exactly how I like them to be--perfect. I visited during lunch time so the church was closed... More

The best view of the city and a must see if you visit Vicenza. You see the entire landscape and on clear days can see all the way to the mountains.

The Santuariomsits atop Monte Berico and fro there you can see the Vicenza and the mountains in the distance. All worth it. The choice itself is a pretty Baroque building with an interesting small museum filled with ceramic figurines.

Just from the parking lot area has so much to offer! There is a beautiful view of the city, the Cathedral, a very small park, and with a little walk away is a wonderful restaurant. Definitely a must see when you visit Vicenza!

When I arrived, the Church was engulfed in heavy fog and hardly visible from the outside. Most entrances were blocked as they were being washed. I was able nonetheless to get inside and was shown the Cena from Veronese in a dark room where you could not take pictures. The picture was hard to see and drab. A big disappointment ,go to... More

The story behind the Basilica is wonderful but it is the art the really is incredible. The fresco of the pregnant Madonna is one of my favorite pieces of art period. Absolutely breathtaking.

Well worth visiting. On a par with the similar high spot south of Florence that has a copy of David. We found that the bar on the left hand side when reaching the church has a garden with a fantastic view while avoiding the sellers who are in the main car park area.
