Our tour guide pointed this building as being significant. After researching, it is considered the same architecture as our White House and Monticello: Palladian Style after Palladio. Basically, Palladio's work was strongly based on the symmetry, perspective, and values of the formal classical temple architecture of the Ancient Greeks and Romans. I think the columned covered section in the front might be called The Portico. It sounds a little like our word, porch.

This beautiful building of Palazzo Barbieri is today the Town Hall. It is located on the square of Bra and immediately to the magnificent Arena di Verona. The building is impressive and its rich history does not leave anyone indifferent. It was built in Neoclassical style.
The palace was originally named Palazzo della Gran Guardia Nuova, and housed staff associated with the occupying Austrian Army forces. It was designed by Giuseppe Barbieri and was later named in his honor. Today, in front of the Palazzo hosts events and Fiera.

Another plaza to add to the list for a walking tour of Verona. Some interesting buildings and plenty of people watching to be had.

Gorgeous palazzo . from the outside it is a stunning reminder of the opulence that Vernoa had. Easy to hang out outside and just stare at its gorgeous columns

Located at Piazza Bra, adjacent to the Arena, this very lovely building represents a city hall.
Interesting to see coats of arms of Verona's partner cities on the entry wall.

Located in Piazza Bra in Verona Italy. This is just a building and not worth a visit. There is so much else to see in Verona.

Located right at the heart of Verona, the palazzo Barbieri or now known as the town hall is in the Piazza Bra area. Of neoclassical design its build was completed in 1848. It is an interesting and impressive building.

It's located exactly at Piazza Bra. With its Neoclassical style, it's a very tradicional building on the center of Verona. I did not go inside, and don't know if it's possible.

Hi there, I wonder if anybody can tell me how to book a civil wedding ceremony at the town hall? I can't seem to find any contact details to arrange this. Many thanks.
