The view from here is the best of Verona you will have. To get there, we took the 95 bus from its stop at Castelvecchio (stop across from the castle) to Viale dei Colli stop 22, crossed the street, and went up the steps into the Santuario area. To leave, exit down the Santuario driveway to the 95 bus stop Viale dei Colli stop 27, for the return trip to town. Very easy! Buy your local bus ticket at any tabacchio for €1.30, which is good for 90 minutes, and validate on the bus. The whole round trip is 1-2 hours depending on how much time you spend there.

again using the hop on hop off bus on the blue line. this is stop 5 and after the gardens at stop three this was perfect for lunch on the terrace outside the café with a oannini and a beer looking over all of Verona, great place to take pictures and chill

This place is even higher than Castel San Pietro. You can perfectly go walking, is not that far from the center of Verona.

Going all the way up to this top was a boring walk and seemed to be a mistake for a long time. If you plan to visit this place. Take a taxi or a bus. Far to long and boring walk. The view from the hill is great but not so much better than from the hill above the Roman Theather.

We decided to head up to the sanctuary as beside it, on our map of Verona, was the giant title, "panoramic view of city" and while my husband and I love exploring a new city every change we get, we also appreciate getting outside the city and appreciating its greatness. If the weather is warm (it was in the 90s the day we were there), I highly recommend you take the bus up to this point to avoid becoming quite sweaty. Tip: make sure you ask the driver (it's the 70 line that gets you there) that your bus will actually make it up there as there are two separate lines.

I popped my head briefly inside the sanctuary but mass was happening and I didn't want to disturb those praying. There's a lovely garden in the back of the sanctuary as well with a fountain for filling water bottles and a delightful atmosphere of quietness. If you like to check out the whole scope of a city, I definitely recommend!

This beautiful church is on top of a hill in Verona so unless you drive walking is the only way up I believe. It is definitely worth it when you reach the top however as the views are just stunning. The actual church itself inside is breathtaking and very peaceful. I would definitely recommend coming here

This is situated in a lovely place at the top of a hill. When reach this church you can have a great view of the city.

During winter better visit before evening as the fog .

The church is modern compared to all other old churches. Go behind the church to see the lovely statue of Mother Mary

Santuario Madonna di Lourdes is situated up on a hill about 4 km from the city centre. We walked all the way up there. The gardens around the Santuario were beautiful and there were paintings from the Bible along the path. The Santuario itself was quite modern and simple inside but beautiful.

This place is a must for views over Verona - especially if you are lucky with the weather. Ours was reasonable, and still it was worthwhile. Best wishes for blue skies for your visit.

Situated on a hill above Verona this place has peace and beauty. The church is beautiful and behind it is the statue of mother Mary which remained unharmed in the total bombings of this place in the second world war. Wonderful place for meditation.
