Had a weekend in Verona and enjoyed 3x activities all delivered by Veronality.

Going into the weekend I was struggling to find activities to do as Feb is not a busy time of year and a lot of experiences when out of season in Italy need some local knowledge / contacts - I need not have worried as I clearly had the best people in town.

My first excursion was a trip to Lake Garda and the beautiful town of Sirminione. The half day tour was very relaxed and led by Allesandro, a well connected guy who is very organised and great to talk to in regards to Italian culture and about life as a local living in Verona. I enjoyed listening to his stories and thought he was very authentic as a tour guide sharing his city.

My second trip was a private excursion to a top quality Amarone producer. My background is wine and I requested to visit a producer to better understand these wines. Veronality (particularly Allesandro) used their contacts to arrange a private tour with a top local winemaker, as well as return transport and at a reasonable cost. My driver Riccardo was very professional in taking me to the producer, waiting 2+ hours without any complaint and then taking me back to my hotel, whilst we talked about Italian cars on the way back. He is a great guy and it was nice to meet him.

My last excursion was the next morning, maybe saving the best for last where I had a half day tour tasting the food and wine of Verona on a tasting tour. Coffee, fresh pasta, wine, more wine and a gelato - you can't go wrong! There was also a trip to a certain clothes shop where I saw something amazing that I am still struggling to explain to my wife. You need to go on the tour to find out what, but it's worth the tour money alone and I've never seen anything like it in 15 years of travel..! So book! The last word on this tour must go to my guide Irena, a wonderful and funny lady who took us round the city, she clearly loves Verona and like Allesandro is a real asset to tourism in the city.

Over the weekend I could not have wished for more in regards to seeing and understanding the 'real' Verona. Money well spent and I learned a lot about this great city. Bravo!

When in Venice it’s highly recommended by just about everyone that you go to St Marco’s Church and the Doge Palace. With this in mind I booked a tour of both.

The tour was very informative and well put together and our guide was well versed and engaging. There’s a lot of focus on the art which is understandable given that it’s Italy. I personally would have preferred more focus on the various Doges (Dukes) and notable prisoners such as Casanova. I think the tour could be improved in that way.

I would recommend the tour but with the caveat that if you have no interest in art or history then you’re better off just taking yourself round and saving money on the guide. I’m

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our Prosecco Region - small group, 6 hour tour, departing from Venice. The lovely Francesca is the warm and friendly guide who hosts this particular excursion. Her passion and pride in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene region is most impressive, as well as her knowledge and history of the area. To begin with, my sister and I traveled to Venice for a week-long stay. What was supposed to be a weeks long journey with our families in 2020, was reduced down to the two of us in 2021. I knew that I wanted to end this particular trip with a day of relaxation and enjoyment, so I purposely chose this tour for our very last day, and allow me to state that it very much exceeded both of our expectations. Francesca provides her clients a drive in style in her very clean and comfortable passenger van. As we drove out of Venice, she began the tour by getting to know each and every one of her guests, likewise, brilliantly allowing each of of us to get to know the other members of the tour. Along the way, Francesca did a magnificent job of informing us in regards to details about the region, as well as details. pertaining to the creation of Prosecco. The first winery stop had us greeted by the enthusiastic head chef of the winery/B&B, who was quick to impart his knowledge and encouraged us to walk along the vineyard. Afterwards we were invited to a prosecco tasting, which also featured a simple, yet masterful, luncheon of local products. As the afternoon progressed, Francesca guided us to a second winery, which featured a completely different perspective of the creation of prosecco. At the second winery, we were greeted by the delightful winery owner, who presented a tour showcasing the fermenting, bottling, and distribution processes involved in creating this beverage for consumption. The host then invited us to savor the second wine tasting of the day. On the day of our tour, my sister and I were joined by two charming young ladies from Denmark. As Francesca announced that we would soon have to leave this breathtakingly beautiful region in order to head back to Venice, we were all remorseful as our glorious day of sightseeing, camaraderie, eating and drinking prosecco had to come to its unfortunate end. Remember, if you take this tour, you will never be pressured to purchase any bottles of prosecco; however, if you'd like to take a bottle or two home, just ask, and you will be able to make a purchase to carry home or to drink in your hotel room. Additionally, the cost of this most enchanting excursion is extremely reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone. In closing, this tour was the perfect ending to a perfect trip to Venice! Brava, Francesca - grazie bene!

What a wonderful day! Francesca collected my 2 friends and I, along with a lovely Russian couple, in a smart, new minivan from Piazzale Roma in Venice, right on time at 10am. She was so friendly and informative, chatting away and breaking the ice as we drove the ~45 minutes to the first vineyard, a little traditional, independent winery in the hills. On arrival we had a short walk to look at the vines and were then treated to a superb lunch of local meats, cheeses, breads, tapenades and omelettes along with 3 glasses of Prosecco (of course!) and a glass of festive mulled wine (vin brûlée) in the January sunshine on the terrace. The fabulous sommelier Michaela talked us through the history and importance of Prosecco production in the region and I even bought a case to send home!
We carried on to a sweet little water-mill for a stroll and a quick stop off which was a lovely extra, and then on to a bigger, modern family-owned, winery in the afternoon for more tastings and delicious food. We were then driven back to Venice in perfect time. We thoroughly enjoyed the outing and in my opinion, having done various types of tours while travelling, it was extremely good value for money. Highly recommended 👍

Francesca was the best! From the start, she did a fantastic job engaging our small tour by asking interesting questions and telling us more about the region outside of Venice. In addition to enjoying the company, a highlight was enjoying lunch while learning more about Prosecco from the local sommelier.

I give the tour five thumbs up!

Last evening in Perth Australia i went on a virtual walking tour of Verona with Veronality. We used Zoom and I was able to use the smart TV for a large screen.

I have been to Verona several times, but learnt a number of new things about the city and about the love story of Romeo and Giulietta. Priscilla the tour leader was excellent and although the tour was in English, I was also able to practice some Italian language with her.

I would highly recommend this virtual experience for those who love Italy but cannot be there just now. it was good value at 19 euro and

Benedetta was an amazing guide. She lead us though the place she grew up from, and showed us how life is through food. She also gave us explanation on some of the important historic sites, and pointed out all the important places to see and enjoy in Verona. She taught us the culture through food. Such a charismatic and knowledgeable guide. Also, the food/wine we tasted was delicious!

The biketour through Verona was very nice and I'd recommend it to everyone. You get to see a lot while hearing the different stories of the city. The guide was really friendly and at the end we by chance also got to meet the hero of Verona in person! (papà del Gnoco, on the picture )

The Sarah winery was very beautiful and pleasant surroundings. The wine was delicious and our host was very informative. The Wolf winery was the same; very informative. The best part was the ride and the driver. Sabastian was excellent and we could see he loved his town! Great time!

A friend and I took a Prosecco tour with Francesca and it was a fantastic day out from Venice. Francesca is delightful, informative, engaging and friendly. We learned heaps about the region, Prosecco and a few tips from a local about what to see and do in Venice. Francesca also provided great advice about future Italy touring.

The tour itself was well paced. The experience at Le Rampe was superb. Michaela walked us through Prosecco 101, and we also visited a second winery, de Riz, where we sampled more. We had ample, homemade local foodsat Le Rampe which was another highlight for me.

The tour was a great way to learn about and experience the UNESCO Prosecco
Hills.
