A must see in Verona and a fabulous look into history.
A must see on your visit to Verona, so much history, beautiful, frescoes, and stunning statuary. We visited Verona this year in April and you can go to YouTube and look up Lisa Lancaster travels and go to the playlist Europe, 2023 and see more places to visit on this exceptional city. There are lots of video footage on the cathedral as well, which was quiet at the time we visited, which gave us the time to fully immerse ourselves and everything around us.

    Really beautiful
It’s one of the best cathedrals in Italy and that’s saying a lot. Vibrant, beautiful colors matched with incredible artistic skill yields painting and frescoes of superlative quality. I could literally spend hours here. There is so much to see. This is third time I have been here and I still go round and round and round because it’s hard to see all the detail on one circuit. Each time I go here, I do not want to leave, but since there are other places to see, eventually I leave, saddened by the thought that I may never return. That’s what the endless pictures are for.

    Lovely cathedral to see
Really nice cathedral, certainly my favourite cathedral/church in Verona. Very unique cathedral with lovely architectural design to it on the outside and the inside. With artwork and statues etc to see within Cathedral makes it worth the 4 euros entry fee.

This is a very nice church that is well worth a visit. An unusual circular altar "rail". It is not a rail but much larger. I would recommend either the 4 churches ticket or the Verona card as these give good value. The latter is the best for me.

This was my third visit to Verone, and the Cathedral was one of its highlights.
This is a landmark often overlooked by tourists, while instead has many interesting spaces to explore. The complex includes the main church, the baptistery, and a smaller church. It is also possible to see remains of previous ancient structures.
The cathedral itself is a very nice space and it has a very unique ambience. When we visited it was not busy, which made our experience eideal.

Il Duomo is a pretty cathedral, although not extraordinary by some measures. it has some nice frescoes and artwork, however, if you pass through the opening in the corner by the organ you pass into another chapel and arrive at the exposed foundations of the Roman Villas that existed on the site before the church was built. Worth a look for this alone. There is also a lovely cafe opposite where you can get decent coffee and good homely food which is allergen free, no gluten, vegan offerings etc

The cathedral of Verona may not be as splendid visually from the outside as the ones in Florence and Siena, but it predates both and is actually three sites in one. Cheap to enter and you also get to enter into the other churches with the same ticket

An impressive building on its own but this church is one of 3 on the site that you see. The other 2 are below the cathedral and more ancient. Furthermore you can buy a ticket that gets you into 4 other churches in Verona.

This was a beautiful church and my jaw did drop a few times! It is very well preserved and the audio box guide was very helpful.
