Amazing

Like 20 minutes from the center of the city. In a really quiet place of Verona. The church is really big and I really liked the architecture.

A very good to be explored from inside

The exterior of this old Romanesque basilica is not so impressive as the interior from my point of view.

A must see worth the walk!

The church is probably the best one in Verona but it's a long walk along the river from the castle to get there. The cloisters are lovely and the bronze door panels are equal to any others. The crypt with the glass coffin contains the robbed figure of the Saint with silver mask.
The frescos & ceiling magnificent. As is the tall Bell tower over the site of King pepin!

The exterior is impressive but inside should not be missed for the abundant artwork, which I did not expect to find in this building with a simple facade. Small entry fee includes an audioguide.

A walk with friends next to the water brought us to this Basilica and we took pictures. Impressive temple with a big square.

Romanesque at its best!
Oct 2019
The exterior of the Church is very muted, but it belies the interior. The frescoes are magnificent and you can access most of the Church. An audio/video guide helps to teach you the history of so many interesting frescoes. The cloister leading into the Church is very beautiful and calming. A definite must see in Verona!

Lovely basilica with preserved Saint and statue of the Patrion Saint of verona
Oct 2019 • Couples
A lovely basilica full of interesting things. Very attractive doors. Cool statue of the Patrion Saint of Verona and the preserved body of the Saint under the alter on the lower level. You can get an inclusive ticket for four of the churches in Verona, this one is a bit of a walk from the others.
