Beautiful church

Well worth walking a little further to see this beautiful monument and it's collection of art and treasures. Entry is included in the Verona card.

The façade of this basilica is breathtaking, the interiors less impressive even though magnificent. The visit to the church is free but if you want to explore the whole archeological complex you need to enter through the back and pay a small fee. There is a possibility to buy a combined ticket with which you can visit some other magnificent... More

Really worth seeing..we bought the combined ticket which enables you to visit 4 churches in Verona ( you don't have to do them all on the same day! ). There is so much to see, I found it best to sit at various places around the church and admire the different views and soak up the atmosphere.

This beautiful church is some distance from the main historical attractions of Verona (@1.5Km from Piazza Bra) but worth the effort. Approached from the west you walk through a lovely tree lined square (containing several restaurants) with bell tower to the right and monastery tower to the left. Plenty to see inside including much artwork (paintings and frescos) in small... More

One of the most important Romanesque church of north Italy, with frescoes, imposing and very beautiful. The entrance is on the left side of this picture, in a little alley way. San Zeno church is part of the "four churches" tickets (€6) or single entrance (€2.50). It is also part of the "Verona card". San Zeno is the patron saint... More

Slightly out of the centre of Verona. Nice walk along the riverside to get there. The church is unusually 'split level' and the crypt is excellent for cooling off on a very hot day : the relic of San Zeno remains in the crypt. Nice coloured stone inside and some fresco's. Small cloister you can walk around tracked to the... More

If you see just a few churches, this is a great one. I have a personal history here, because of the unique bronze door plaques, which are now displayed inside, not exterior as I knew them as a teenager. Each plaque on the huge doors is a 3 dimensional bible scene, notable for technique, artistry and story telling. During WWII... More

A tranquil spot in the middle of busy San Zeno. Go down to the crypt and you can see wonderful statues

Well worth a visit. The crypt was cool and the remains of the patron saint of Verona a nice touch When we were then they had a free music recital which was great

Make sure you take something to cover your shoulders with to respect the faith of the church otherwise you will be denied access.
