Worth the time to visit

This lovely old church is a 10 minute walk from the centre of town, but worth visiting. The interior has a superb ceiling and some excellent altars, marble staircases and friezes.

I'm surprised that other reviews have said this is out of the centre because Verona is so compact that everywhere is easily walkable if you are moderately fit. I thought it was worth a visit but not spectacular compared to other churches around the world. I enjoyed the nativity scene exhibition.

It is called the Cathedrtal out from the walls....because at the old times the Cathedral was made just outiside the ancient wals of the City. Nowadyas it is part of the City, and it is a very important and amazing Monument.

This is a stunningly beautiful building. Also, its located a little way out of the main center, so the walk allows you to see some more residential areas of Verona as well as some lively Piazza's nearby the Church - some great places to nip in for an aperitivo I would think! The Church itself is very beautiful, with access... More

This church is definitely worth a visit. The cloister is beautiful, the altarpiece is pretty extraordinary, and the raised chancellery is very unusual (although a lot later).

Because there was a funeral ongoing, I could not go inside the church but its outside is amazing, all in white stone and the inner court is also quite amazing and peaceful to walk by. Liked it a lot, although is a bit far away from the center of Verona (20 minutes walking, I would say).

This basilica is around the corner from our hotel, so it was a must. €2.50 entry per person was quite reasonable, which included a map and audio set. Well preserved frescos, sculptures and other works. Beautiful original church doors were my favourite pieces. Lovely courtyard gave a sense of serenity. If you're staying in San Zeno, it's worth a visit.

We visited this amazing church/basilica and were totally impressed by the grandeur. There is a beautiful huge door on the side facing the square, with two tall pillars on either side. The outside of this wonderful church is carved beautifully. To gain access, you need to go in through a smaller door round the other side to what looks like the main... More
