Historically, Erbe was where the ladies gathered and signori was where the happenning guys gathered before a night on the town. Nothing commercial going on but beautiful architecture and another must-see

A picturesque square behind Piazza Erbe. Well worth a look. Unfortunately, some of the buildings are being restored so it's not as pretty as it will be.

Although just one block back from the busy Erbe it was very quiet although the Dante statue and surrounds were nice to visit.

Do make sure to look up! Lovely architectural details and frescoes. Great on a sunny day.

A little oasis of calm after The main Piazza, and full of interesting buildings of historic interest and character.

This piazza is a lot quieter than erbe or bra but is steeped in history - everywhere you look you will see fantastic italian architecture and it is great to just stand and soak up the atmosphere.

We were lucky enough to happen on this competition by chance, a visual feast of colour and music against a medieval backdrop. The participants juggle up to 5 flags each at once!
