Along with the wine, the views from this hill were our favourite thing in Verona. We actually walked up, had no idea that the funicular was operating during a time of Covid- when we saw it was, we decided to get it down as a treat. Not only were we the only people using it on our descent, but I was amazed that we pressed a button to 'call' it from the bottom of the hill and then once we were in it, to start our journey- like a lift! So cool and the ride was really smooth.…

For just €4 each you get a return trip. Quick service and great views on the funicolare and at the top. Much better than walking up on a hot day!

Take this ride to get to the top of the hill, while admiring the local houses, flats and apartments - great short ride with great views.

It's 2 euros per person, up and back. It's fun! As you go up, there are great views and of course, when you get to the top it's fantastic. There were not many people when we went up.
