We stood around for 10 minutes and when I asked her how long she is going to be and if we should came back later she told the person she was helping in Italian that we are rude unfortunately we understand Italian When I approached her in Italian she went white in the face and apologized profusely This place is not for tourists. Six years ago we bought a set of beautiful coffee cups and saucers from this exquisite shop in Venice. We returned today and bought a fabulous white bowl lined in platinum. A real joy to shop here and always served with such style and politeness.

Literally a hidden jewel: we were walking along one of the many labrynthian streets of Venice when we came upon this shop. I would describe the product design as "elegant cutting edge" and the workmanship as of the highest quality - none of that tourist kitsch that Venice seems to churn out. We bought a black oval shaped bowl with gold border (the gold paint having been made from real gold). It now has pride of place in our living room. We stumbled on this place after exploring Venice. The shop is beautiful and they have great pieces that are perfect for gifts. It's hard to find authentic things in Venice and I loved that the pieces are made in the city. I brought back a vase and some stacked dishes for people and everyone loved them. It's also good to know that they have a website and you can buy online...I'll be getting myself some tea cups and saucers and having them shipped. Fabulous find!…

We accidentally stumbled across this shop after reading about it in Lonely Planet, and we were pleased we did. The shop is filled with beautiful handcrafted products designed by Danghyra and made in Venice. I spent an hour agonising over which products to buy, knowing we could only purchase a couple of items to take as carry on luggage back to Australia. I could have bought anything in the shop, the colours, designs and products were magnificent. I settled for a large vase and matching dish. They were both an unusual but practical design in a brilliant red glaze. Although not cheap, they are significantly cheaper than purchasing anything glass in Venice and the quality is superb. The staff were very friendly and helpful and packaged the products securely for us to take home. I highly recommend a visit to Danghyra.…
