Neighborhood: Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.

You can find something for everybody and anybody here...including yourself.
I really appreciate the idea of recycling sold in this wonderful store.
Belts made with bike tyres, mirrors made with iMacs and so on...
This nice shop could be a nice target enjoying a nice walk in neighbourhood of Castello.

Bought a 1970s vintage Fendi purse!! Really great selection of local artisans goods as well as more mass produced chic items for travelers.

Great shop for vintage fashion with modern touch. Off the beaten path and has more to offer than all the basic tourist traps.

This shop is right next door to my favourite restaurant in Venice. So I first found it by accident. I'm glad I did. The thing I like most are their T shirts. My son and I bought two Sprtiz themed shirts last year. Loved them so much we got two more with different designs this year. A place well worth checking out

Delightful store selling design items from local Venetian artists. We found some beautifully crafted hats by Callestella fabric. Wool on the outside and cotton lined. Interesting designs. Worth a visit to support local artists and obtain unique souvenirs.
