Murano, Burano and Torcello Half-Day Sightseeing Tour

5,014 reviews
This sightseeing tour allows you to see three islands in the Venetian Lagoon in half a day. Visitors often visit Murano—well-known for its glass-blowing factory—but fewer make it to Burano and Torcello, with their lace-making shops and ornate palaces and churches. The tour also offers two departure times a day, making it easier to fit into your schedule.

I travel to Venice every year for Carnevale and Lorenzo's is THE only place I go to while there. The owner's son, Enrico, runs the place, and he is not only one of the funniest and most generous people in Venice, he also *really* knows his stuff. If you tell him what kind of dish you want to make, he'll tell you exactly what pasta is best, what sauce doesn't go, which brands are good and which ones are for tourists -- once, we told him we were making lasagne, and he called up HIS OWN MOTHER to ask for her homemade recipe. My friends and I go nowhere else when getting food in Venice. You will never regret meeting Enrico -- I have never had better ham, better cheese, or better company while in Venice. (PS -- the bar across from Enrico's makes fabulous 2.50 euro spritzes. I could spend all day eating at one and then grabbing a drink from the other, rinse and repeat.)

We travelled as a family to Venice last week and my son who has a severe peanut allergy had great difficulties in finding places to eat - groundnut (peanut) oil is used in most of the pizzas here for example. Finding Lorenzos was fantastic for him - fantastic selection of meats etc and an owner who understood the issue and spoke great English. Three visits and all were excellent. Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic gourmet shop in San Marco with a great selection of meats and cheeses and other delicious things. The proprietor, who speaks excellent english, was also nice enough to procure white truffles for us.
