This was a great experience. The gondola ride is short about a half hour but there’s so many beautiful views during the way. The guide/person paddling tells you tidbits about the history of the things you see along the way. Absolutely loved it
Valentino was our gondolier and he provided us with a lovely trip through the canals. He sang, told us many facts about the area we were going through and helped with pictures etc. Be sure to select the right gondolier as some we saw never...More
This was our second visit to Venice and our second gondola ride with Luca, we enjoyed it so much the first time! This is not the usual tacky, touristy ride. Luca is a third generation gondolier using his grandfathers gondola. He is very proud of...More
Had a 4pm boat ride. There was 6 of us on the gondola. Thankfully I was in the back. That is the ONLY good thing I can say. This gondola ride is 25mins (at that) long. You start off in a SMALL canal then make...More
One name has cropped up for us over and over, Luca. Unfortunately he wasn't working on the days we visited Venice, another name cropped up and we found the contact details for another lady called Chiara (search here for her number). We messaged her but...More
First and foremost, I would like to thank Luca for the most breathtaking and wonderful experience I had while taking his Gondola ride on three different districts: Cannaregio, Santa Croce and San Polo. We took his Gondola ride on October 9th, 2018 at 11am. He...More
This is such a swindle in organized gang! You’ve never seen such a pricey activity for something requiering juste a boat and a paddle! We don’t know his name but the guy on the picture attached was everything but nice, being on his phone all...More
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
