We had just three days in Venice -- and decided to spend the first day with a guide to get history and the lay of the land, some advice on what to see, where to spend our time. We were not disappointed by the really magical day spent with Barbara. She is passionate about Venice and happy to share all she knows. We asked questions all day, and she was engaging and fun with the teenagers. We saw and learned so much, I very highly recommend the experience!

We had a brief three days in Venice and were recommended to Barbara -- what a wonderful suggestion! She is knowledgeable, flexible and intrepid. We did an all day tour, beginning with a walking tour and then Grand Canal -- the boat was lovely and we felt that we really had gotten some sense of the history and wonder of Venice. It's so overwhelming -- beautiful and old, easy to miss the important bits and get lost in the chaos. She was so great at engaging the kids, and answering our dozens of questions. Recommend wholeheartedly. Alora...which is Barbara's way of saying, "let's move along and see something even better than this!" we've integrated it into the family vocabulary.

Our family of 4 met Barbara on a busy summer day surrounded by crowds of people. After a quick walk to our private boat, it was as if we were the only ones in Venice. She shared her beautiful city by boat for the first hour to places you cannot see by walking. She even sought out a mural by Banksy we were dying to see! Our tour continued on foot to all the hidden gems of the city. She did an amazing job engaging our daughters (12 & 15) and was eager to help my oldest with the Italian language. Our tour with Barbara was the highlight of our time in Venice!
