Description:

A unique vessel, constructed following the design of the ancient galleons...

A unique vessel, constructed following the design of the ancient galleons launched by the Serenissima Republic between XIV and XVII centuries and used at that time as a freighter and for military purposes. In its modern version, the Galeone Veneziano is an exclusive location for any kind of event thanks to the versatility of its spaces. You will be delighted by the enchantment of the islands of the lagoon, sailing through the canals and discovering unusual glimpses meandering through the Venetian islands.

Friday night on board of the beautiful Galleon was the highlight of the Carnival for our group of 6. The live band was amazing, dancing and signing along with them was great! The food buffet and stuff on the boat were beyond our expectations! I wish I had tried all the meat platters. Open deck upstairs has charming romantic atmosphere.... More

I surprised my husband on our honeymoon with a dinner cruise on the Venetian Galleon during our honeymoon in Venice. It was such a wonderful night that we will never forget. Due to booking last minute, we were only able to get a table in the front of the boat, not on the main deck; but that did not change... More

Joined the cruise on Wednesday 30th Sept 2015. You gather outside the Museo Navelo, which is a short walk from San Marco. It is a little unsettling when you arrive, it is somewhat quiet and no advertising board, initially I thought I had been scammed. Identified a couple of other people booked on the tour so felt a little better.... More

Booked this due to the good reviews. Sadly the best seats were booked out and we booked the cheaper ones in the front or back rather than the middle - only 10 euros cheaper per person, but experience was very much second class. We were at the front of the boat at a shared table with a very nice German... More

Saw good reviews of this on trip advisor so decided to give it a go. Arrived and seated on deck and promptly given a bottle of prosecco and canapés. Food is okay for being on a galleon boat. Romantic candle lit setting. Numerous courses and generous amount of alcohol. Good views of the lagoon initially. Was slightly windy which some... More

We took a dinner cruise in July with our teenage daughters and had a fantastic evening. We had a large beautifully presented table on the main deck with superb service and fabulous food and drink, a really special experience we would thoroughly recomend.

We booked this initially thinking it would be a pleasant way to have an evening meal with a 3 hour cruise around the lagoon - well it was - and much more. After a scorching day, the breeze once we moved into the lagoon was fantastic. The boat looked great and the tables set with really nice glassware and white... More

My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic and romantic celebration dinner aboard the galleon. Excellent food, terrific service and a wonderful smooth journey. When visiting Venice this is a 'must do'. Thank you Federica and team for making this a memorable evening.

Booked the Galleon Dinner Cruise for my wife's birthday as a special treat on a short break in Venice. Turned up on time as did most other guests and we were eventually seated by a nice waitress. Bottle of Prosecco and some rather tired looking hors d'oevres were presented and then it was quite a wait as two guests turned... More

Booked the Jolly Roger for my wedding reception, beautiful ship. Extremely clean inside. Was worried that guest would not have enough food, however the food didn't stop coming ! We were practically full before them main course came. Really nice food, staff could not do enough for us. It made our wedding reception something very special and I can not... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
