About Venetian Galleon
A unique vessel, constructed following the design of the ancient galleons launched by the Serenissima Republic between XIV and XVII centuries and used at that time as a freighter and for military purposes. In its modern version, the Galeone Veneziano is an exclusive location for any kind of event thanks to the versatility of its spaces. You will be delighted by the enchantment of the islands of the lagoon, sailing through the canals and discovering unusual glimpses meandering through the Venetian islands.

Great food set up buffet style in center of ship. They had some finger foods like prosciutto, cheeses, cold fish salad, appetizer puffs, pizza, etc. they also served a lasagna and risotto. Everything tasted great. There was also unlimited wine and Aperol Spritz, water, etc. There is a little seating including long benches on either side of the center of the ship and a few long table in other rooms. They remove the buffet table so that people can dance. The DJ was pretty good. Costumes are not required but a lot of people had elaborate costumes. There were quite a few with evening wear and masks and just regular jeans and shirts. I had a little issue with getting on to the boat because of my knee problems. It is not handicap accessible. You had to walk down a long wooden plank that was moving because of the tides. I had to step down a high platform which I miss judged the height and ended falling. They were great they helped me up and checked on me during the party. Overall after my initial problems I had a great time and would recommend the party.

Excellent experience, a masked party sailing around the islands, the buffet dinner was adequate, wine and proseco flowed freely and the music was good too. The staff were cheerful and helpful. A lovely mixture of people from everywhere including many Italian guests. If I would make a recommendation is only that there should be someone there before embarking to let people know we are at the right place! There are two galleons a bit far apart, we were all waiting and a bit confused whether we were at the right place. Otherwise a far better evening than my expectations. We sailed smoothly around the islands on a fairly clear night.

We had the opportunity to enjoy a fabulous evening and five course dinner on this beautiful galleon. The cruise goes around Venice allowing sites most people don’t get to see. Having a near full moon and clear skies added to the enjoyment. The food was so delicious. The normal menu includes plenty of fish and seafood, and because I am not a fan of seafood I was able to get the alternate menu which included beef and turkey which was absolutely delicious. My husband did opt for the normal menu and he loved every bite. This is an experience of Venice I highly recommend.
