We did a full day private tour of Venice with Rita, and we had the best experience. Not only was she knowledgable about all that we saw, she made sure our children (9, 12 & 15) had a great time. She also suggested wonderful restaurant options that were not touristy, which we greatly appreciated, and took us through parts of Venice that are not typical and are un-crowded. Don't hesitate to book with Rita - she is amazing!

Rita is a gem, we did a 2 hour tour of Venice with Rita and our 7 and 10 year old boys. Rita engaged them the whole time and was able to keep their interest and ours, as well as answer any question we had. Rita was a really informative, child friendly guide who we would definitely recommend to anyone else with children visiting Venice and hoping for a real understanding of the city. Very highly recommended!

Dear Nicholas, children can be often so inspiring. They see and experience new things in a very special way. They are challenging and engaging at the same time. With yours, I've seen many places from a different perspective! Thank you again for your feedback. All the best, Rita

I have been fortunate to have visited Venice three times. Before my first trip, I realized I needed someone who was well-versed with the City and could convey the history and culture in a way that I would understand and appreciate. That is when I met Rita for the first time. She took me away from the crowds of tourists and immediately Venice opened up -- both visually and intellectually. Travel should be an educational experience as well as fun. Yo should know what you are looking at. Rita was born here, educated here and lives here. Rita's passion for the City and her deep understanding of the culture and history are reflected in her insightful commentary as she whisks you away into the magic that is Venice. Rita speaks to you --not at you. She treats you like a friend she has known all her life, not like a customer of her tour. Tell her what is most important for you to see and she will design the tour accordingly. My last tour (June 2019), I told her that I wanted to know more about the gondolas -- how they were built, repaired and where. She did just that and we proceeded to the Dorsoduro District and the Squero di San Trovaso. The boatyard was opened in the 17th century and lies next to the Church of San Trovaso. Not opened to the public, but can be viewed across from the Rio de S. Trovaso. I highly recommend and urge you to acquire Rita's services on your trip to Venice. It will be an experience you will remember and cherish. After experiencing Venice, you will never be the same and you will never forget the Guardian Angel of Venice who has been your guide -- Rita!

We did two excellent tours with Rita - a 2-hr walking tour of Venice and a 1.5-hr tour of the Doges Palace. Rita has unbelievable knowledge of history, art, and venetian culture. She took us to all of the sights and showed us the hidden gems that only a local would know. We escape the crazy crowds, which was awesome! When our hotel concierge saw that Rita was our guide, he told us we had the best guide in all of Venice. We highly highly recommend her!!! Thanks, Rita!

Dear Lindsay, thank you for your enthusiastic review. Your words make me more convinced than ever that this is the right approach: a bespoke experience, tailored on travelers' needs and expectations always has greater chances to become something unforgettable, as it is meant to make you feel as 'a part of the whole'. Now Venice is 'yours'. All the best, Rita

Rita led 5 of us (two adults and 3 boys aged 11 and two 14 year olds) on a 2 hour walking tour of the Castello area of Venice. It was wonderful to get away from the tourist crowds and see Venice through local eyes and there were no questions Rita couldn't answer. We learnt all about the structure and architecture of the buildings, the Gondola cooperatives and races, Marco Polo, carnival and its masks and lots more. Rita made everything very accessible for the kids and we all enjoyed our two hours enormously. At the end of our walk we braved the crowds and Rita took us into the Basilica in St Marks Square and explained its amazing gold mosaic ceilings and then left us there to wander at our leisure. We would thoroughly recommend a tour with Rita as part of any Venice trip.
