My wife and I had an amazing few hours with Marika. It was truly incredible. She has a lovely home which is also a bed and breakfast, which is located on The Lido. We made several pastas, all fresh/from scratch, including gnocchi. All sauces were freshly made as well, like homemade pesto. Highly recommend.

We are a family that enjoys the experience of food - cooking and trying new things wherever we travel...this was a last minute add to our agenda thanks to the staff at Aqualino. We had come in late for the day we requested and the staff promptly came back with an option for a Venetian experience the following day. Marika... More

I cannot say enough about the amazing experience at Acquolina. Arriving at the Lido try boat and walking through the beautiful town we were wondering what to expect. The location was beautiful and the chef had gone to find fresh ingredients that are only available in the summer. We had 3 kids with us and were hoping the others in... More

Wow! This is a cooking class and cultural experience that should not be missed. The location was easy to find without any difficulty. Marika was simply the BEST! Warm, welcoming and extremely patient with all age groups. There were 3 younger children in our group of 10. I was amazed at how Marka managed to include everyone in the preparations for... More

The Acquolina Cooking School is one of the greatest experiences that I have ever had. My wife and I were in Venice for our 20th wedding anniversary and found the cooking class via online research. The entire experience was outstanding and one of the very best travel excursions we have ever had. It started with a trip to the Rialto... More

My husband booked a cooking class for our family knowing my son would never eat the exotic fish one finds in Venice. Marika was so encouraging, involving all three kids in the making of several different pastas and the finished product was delicious! And we were all surprised to find that the fifteen year old boy was an expert in... More

If I had to describe Marika's cooking class in one word.....SUPERB! There were only 6 people total in the class which made it easy for Marika to teach and guide each one of us during this amazing cooking experience. She was very detailed and paid close attention to each of us during the whole class. One of the participants had... More

My husband and I are traveling through Italy on our honeymoon. It also happened to be my husband's birthday during our trip. I booked a cooking class two weeks in advance as his present only to have the school cancel on me the morning of the class. I emailed the school twice before the class to confirm but never received... More

Dear Eph2,   We cannot have cancelled what we never confirmed.  No classes were scheduled for that date and your was a “request only”. Clients send a REQUEST and our classes are confirmed manually by email. This is how it works: The client requests availability for a class, and the automatic reply states:  "This is a request ONLY. Your class... More
