I am a qualified tour guide in Venice offering private guided tours in The Serenissima, on foot and by boat and in the lagoon (Murano, Burano and Torcello) in English, German and Italian.

I would love to show you the classical sites such as San Marco, the Doge's palace, the Rialto bridge and market, but also less known areas (churches, museums, gardens).

Fiona! What great fun!! Though it was a little rainy, we met Fiona on our last day in Venice for a tour of the Grand Canal. Her driver had a gorgeous boat and though we had to duck in out of the rain from time to time we loved the tour and Fiona! We had been in Venice for 4... More

Our family group of 5 spent an afternoon with Fiona in early November. She met us at our hotel on the Grand Canal with a private boat and boat captain. She made a point to learn all our names. Fiona asked me what we had done that morning and when I told her we had ridden the vaparettos up and... More

We had a wonderful private tour of St. Mark's Square and the Doges Palace with Fiona Giusto. She spoke in a clear and interesting manner. Fiona was very knowledgeable. We learned a great deal about Venetian history and had a very enjoyable time.

Fiona was very informative and easy to listen to as she explained what we saw in easy to understand language. She took us to parts of Venice we would not have found and more importantly understood the History and meaning of.

My wife and I stayed in Venice for a couple of days before a cruise, and we wanted a guided tour to help introduce us to the city, since neither of us had been there before. I looked for options on TripAdvisor, and the first person I contacted wasn’t available, but she recommended Fiona Giusto of VeniceTours; luckily Fiona was... More

We spent the most wonderful two hours with Fiona being educated about the enchanting city of Venice. We would highly recommend Fiona who made our visit come alive. She shared her extensive knowledge of Venetian history, architecture and art with great enthusiasm and we enjoyed every minute. Thank you Fiona and 'arrivederci' until our next time in Venice!

We had two tours with Fiona. First was an amazing one hour boat ride tour of Venice and the next day a 2 hour walking tour. Both times she was at our hotel promptly as scheduled. She was friendly, yet professional. Her vast knowledge and passion for Venice kept us interested and wanting for more. . My wife had difficulty... More

We had a four hour private tour with Fiona. I wish we had booked more time. The four hours we spent flew by. She met us at our hotel and we walked through several areas of Venice. She is extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant as a guide. She takes time to explain everything that we saw. She has a wealth... More

We had one morning in Venice before leaving on a cruise. My wife and I wanted to see as much of Venice as we could during our time in the city. I booked Fiona's 2 hour classic tour. She met us at the JW Marriott shuttle at 8:55am and we started our tour. We visited the bridge of Sighs St... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
