Far more affordable than a traditional gondola—and traveling the same scenic canals—is a ride via motorized Venice vaporetto. Think of it as public city bus on wheels, but with a far better view. Follow us on social network search for "muoversivenezia"

Overpriced and very ordinary boat trips. The daily run-around for the locals. Nothing to envy! Bumpy and stinking of diesel fuel. Rarely you might get to hear directions over the public announcements which would really help as one has to struggle to get accustomed to...More

These water taxi's are great because they go up and down the canal just like a bus service , you can get on and off when ever you like , so visiting lot's of places up and down the canal is a must

A straightforward, reliable service. Easy to navigate and reasonably priced. €7.50 for 75 minutes of travel but 1/2/3 day tickets are also available.

Loved the vaporetto, we stayed in the lido and the service was great. Efficient (not a word I expected to use to describe Italian public transport) clean enough and good fun too. Get the travel card and ride as much as you want. When our...More
