Several times destroyed by fire and reborn like its namesake bird, the La Fenice is one of the best among the many Venice jewels. We were not able to attend a performance there, since no opera was being performed those days, but just visiting it...More

If we hadn't been told by the owner of our hotel, we would have missed out on an excellent tour. This working opera house is in pristine condition, given it has burned many times and undergone many renovations. The audio-tour is the best we have...More

This is a beautiful theater and I highly recommend taking in an opera here if you have the chance. It's not cheap, but the musicianship on display was fantastic and the acoustics from my seat in the orchestra section were pristine.

Beautiful Opera House. Take the tour, fascinating. Saw Madam Butterfly. Not seen many opera's but understand the appeal.

Beautifully reconstructed and furnished. Well worth a visit - either to see a performance or on a day-time tour.

The opera was superb ... A modern version of Madama Butterfly with amazing voices. But even more impressive is how courteous and helpful are all staff members. A dream of an evening ... Thank you!

While visiting Venice, we decided to go to the opera. It was a magical evening, and not speaking fluent Italian was not a problem at all. The theater is beautiful, and I would recommend getting a box seat. You definitely feel like a local Venetian...More

Literally, several opera performances were composed specifically to be performed in La Fenice. It certainly has a dramatic history. The place is stunning. If you're in to opera, how could you possibly go to Venice and not at least drop in? We took a self...More

Apparently this was rebuilt to look exactly as it did before it burned. Boxes are problematic for viewing the stage, if you are not in the front seats. We saw a spectacular Madama Butterfly there. English super titles along with the Italian ones!

Tickets were not available online so we were delighted to get Row G, aisle seats, on arrival in Venice for a performance of Madama Butterfly. The venue is exquisite, fellow opera goers very outgoing. Our performance was riveting - very minimal sets but with some...More

Dont hesitate to go even one hour before or as soon as they open the doors. Like this you have a moment to walk around as well.

We were able to turn up and pay for a trip. A good choice on a rainy day, and the catering is not expensive by Venetian standards
