Nico was a fantastic tour guide. He was very knowledgable and flexible. Getting a quality tour guide is worth the price, especially when you're trying to maximize limited time in a city. My husband and I took several family members to Italy and we only had a few days in Venice. Despite my best efforts to try to pin everyone down on what they wanted to do well in advance, we decide to book a tour of the city the day before we got to Venice. Nico was highly flexible and was able to accommodate us during our stay. We booked a tour of St Mark's Square and the islands of Murano and Burano. We went back and forth on the value of renting a private boat versus taking the public bus boats. We ultimately went with the public boats and Nico hooked us up with the "locals" treatment. This is why you pay for an experienced tour guide to help maximize your time. This helped because we could get on first and secure a secluded spot on the boat and listen to Nico explain what we were seeing. The glass blowing demonstration at Murano was amazing and the island of Burano was absolutely beautiful. Nico was very knowledgable and super friendly. He even hooked us up with a restaurant recommendation close to our hotel for after the tour. He called ahead for us and made a reservation, which was nice to be able to walk right in once we got there. And the food was delicious. It's easy to get trapped at touristy restaurants in Venice. I highly recommend Nico if you are visiting Venice.

We booked an evening food tour with Nico whilst on a 2day trip to Venice. This was our first trip to venice and the food tour was great highlight. We visited the ghetto and went to places we would have never found on our own. The food and wine was plentiful way more than we could eat and drink. Great value for money would totally recommend and I have already passed on Nicos details to a few friends as he was super efficient and organized at coming back to me. Do it you won't be disappointed...

My partner and I were looking for someone to spend the day with to learn the history and find the hidden spots of Venice, and Nico was the perfect person for the job! He was super responsive and helped us build out a specific itinerary based on what we wanted to do. We started the day by visiting all of the top spots in the center of town, learning about the city's history and how it changed over time. Nico also took us to the residential neighborhoods and remarkably charming streets where the locals live. Later in the afternoon, we visited the outer islands of Murano, where we saw live glass blowing, and the colorful homes of Burano. It was a spectacular day filled with storytelling, laughter and great photos. Highly recommend booking a day with Nico if you are looking to experience a fun-filled educational trip to Venice.

I should have written this sooner but now that much of life is on pause it's important to let folks know who to look to when traveling resumes - and it will. Nico arranged two days of walking and boating tours around Venice and Murano. We had a large group of 9 including 5 young adult children and Nico was a hit with all. Nico recommended and arranged our plans and then carried them out expertly, staying flexible when things like the weather changed. I can't recommend Nico enough!

We requested and customized a private food tour in the local area (instead of typical touristy areas). Food was yummy, went to 4 places to try food and drinks. Nico was very friendly, great knowledge about Venice. We were of course asking questions about random questions not only about food. He shared about Venice history, building structures, local habits etc. We even had typical stereotypes of Venice being smelly (as per google) debunked, it was not smelly! Thus, providing interesting insiders tips and information about Venice. We had such a good time chatting with him not only about the above, we chatted like friends sharing cultures about our countries and the differences. Great personality and guide!

We are a family of 7 and had just half a day to experience Venice. Nico offered me a combination of a 2.5 hour walking tour plus a 1 hour boat ride to see the city from the grand and smaller canals.
The tour was great. Nico took us around all of the important sites and shared a lot information and history. He is very knowledgeable and compliant and knew how to adjust himself to our pace and requirements.
I highly recommend Nico for any type of guided tour in Venice

Mr. Nico is the premier tour guide in Venice. He was referred to me by one of the best VIP guides in Paris.
Mr. Nico speaks english perfectly, he is knowledgeable, passionate about his profession and about Venice.
He holds a Master in Art History from the Ca' Foscari University.
I asked him to organize a 4 hours private tour including a 45 minutes private boat ride at dusk.
Everything was impeccable and well organized. His knowledge of history, art and culture are key in understanding this beautiful city.
I do not like visiting museum, therefore Mr. Nico tailored the tour in a way that was both fun and educational.
Grazie!!!

Nico gave us a wonderful tour of some of the back streets of Venice, complete with out of the way little bars with great food and drink. As someone who was born there and studied art history Nico is extremely knowledgeable. We loved having our own private tour guide, and the tour was tailored to what we were interested in. He will arrange one specific to your needs. We loved that he showed us another side of Venice than what we would see in a big tour group. I cannot recommend Nico highly enough. The best thing we did in Venice.

Our best day by far in our European Summer Vacation. We spent an entire day with Nico in Venice and the area. During the first half day Nico walked us through the streets of Venice and explained the history and architecture of the city. In the second half we took a private taxi to the Islands of Murano and Burano. It was all designed and recommended by Nico who did an amazing job with us. Nico's explanations of the city were very interesting and we learned a lot. Not something you can do by just walking around.
The second half day with the private taxi on the two islands was beautiful We avoided the tourist lines and could really enjoy these two fantastic destinations without the hustle of the public boats. We also toured the grand canal and a few small ones. It was awesome and I will highly recommend such a day for every visitor to the city.
Nico also helped us find good local restaurants, the best ice cream destinations etc. He is an awesome guide.

There are multiple ways to enjoy woderful Venice.

You can travel to the city and tour the streets, you can read about it in the encyclopedia, you can read articles that connect its past politics to why and how it developed, you can go to a theater play about it.
But, the one place you can get all of that together, is if you take a tour with Nico.

We were a group of 3 couples in Venice for the mask parade few months ago. We had to cut our trip short due to the Covid-19 virus. But lucky for us we took few tours with Nico before.

Nico is a walking encyclopedia about Venice and Italy. He knows how to tell the story and keep you listening and facinated. His ability to explain the architeture, the history, the politics, in a vivid way makes you feel that you want the tour to continue and continue.

Beyond his welth of knowledge Nico is an extremely nice human being, gentel, funny, carrying and helping way beyond his job.

So, honestly if you want not just to tour Venice but have unforgetable experience in Venice and of Venice, hire Nico as a guide.
