Our Tour with Nico was amazing. First of all, we definitely recommend this tour and also every other tour with him. I just wrote a few e-mails with Nico and knew, we are on the right spot. He has a great Site (nicovenicetour) and every tour is very unique. You can get whatever you want, just get in contact with him. We wanted to have a food and wine tour in the real venice. Beyond the tourist mass and beyond those black sheeps who are ruining the beautiful italian culture with high prices and low quality. We went to authentic sweet bars, ate great cicchettis and taglieri and drank very good wine (Rabosso, Prossecco and Spritz). At the end we have been to a very nice restaurant for some pasta and exquisit grappa. Nico has masters degree in arts and history, so he can answer you every question as detailed as you want. Besides the fun, we learned a lot! Every recommendation of Nico was great and good. It really exceeded our expectations. Thank you Nico for this great tour. We will definitly come again and have another tour with you, or at least some Spritz! ;) So if you are searching for a great tourguide -> Butta la Pasta

We requested and customized a private food tour in the local area (instead of typical touristy areas). Food was yummy, went to 4 places to try food and drinks. Nico was very friendly, great knowledge about Venice. We were of course asking questions about random questions not only about food. He shared about Venice history, building structures, local habits etc. We even had typical stereotypes of Venice being smelly (as per google) debunked, it was not smelly! Thus, providing interesting insiders tips and information about Venice. We had such a good time chatting with him not only about the above, we chatted like friends sharing cultures about our countries and the differences. Great personality and guide!

Nico was a fantastic tour guide. He was very knowledgable and flexible. Getting a quality tour guide is worth the price, especially when you're trying to maximize limited time in a city. My husband and I took several family members to Italy and we only had a few days in Venice. Despite my best efforts to try to pin everyone down on what they wanted to do well in advance, we decide to book a tour of the city the day before we got to Venice. Nico was highly flexible and was able to accommodate us during our stay. We booked a tour of St Mark's Square and the islands of Murano and Burano. We went back and forth on the value of renting a private boat versus taking the public bus boats. We ultimately went with the public boats and Nico hooked us up with the "locals" treatment. This is why you pay for an experienced tour guide to help maximize your time. This helped because we could get on first and secure a secluded spot on the boat and listen to Nico explain what we were seeing. The glass blowing demonstration at Murano was amazing and the island of Burano was absolutely beautiful. Nico was very knowledgable and super friendly. He even hooked us up with a restaurant recommendation close to our hotel for after the tour. He called ahead for us and made a reservation, which was nice to be able to walk right in once we got there. And the food was delicious. It's easy to get trapped at touristy restaurants in Venice. I highly recommend Nico if you are visiting Venice.

We had an excellent day with Nico. Hes extremely well informed about Venice - past and present and we provided lots of interesting information. It was an interesting time to be in Venice (July 20) and it was really great to be able to get a local's view of the city, with lots of personal touches. Nico organised a great day out for us and a lovely restaurant for our lunch. Hoping that we can return again soon for his food tour!

We did a great Food tour with Nico during our stay in Venice. Nico is an excellent guide / walking partner. We had a wonderful time, walking through parts of Venice which we had never seen, listening to the stories of Nico both on history of- and todays life in Venice (he's like a walking Google even with the Google Assistant jokes included) and stopping at bars and restaurants to enjoy excellent drinks and great food. We will never talk of tapas in Venice anymore, but eat cicchetti instead. We will not drink Campari Spritz in Venice anymore, but we will drink Select. And we will drink Lambrusco, lots of Lambrusco all day long. Oh yes, as other reviewers already pointed out, he knows every pet in Venice by name, so I'm sure you can ask him to do a special Venice Pet Life tour as well :-)
