I expected a little more from the walking tour, it tended to focus only on two main areas of Venice and omitted many others. However we did enjoy the Gondola ride but be prepared to share the ride with strangers (six people to a ride).

Francesca led our tour and gave us the insiders tour of cool as well as historic bars We had the opportunity to sample Venetian wines and bar treats to eat and her knowledge of Venice, it’s history and food and wine is vast. We loved this walking tour.

Did a walking tour and gondola ride with Viator. Glad we did. Lots of useful info and fascinating history. Buildings are "settling" so you see them as crooked but solid structures. Mix of architecture styles of Byzantine and Renaissance periods. Thought the gondola ride would be too touristy but actually loved it. A must do!

Myself and my 2 daughters went today on a walking food tour of Venice. The guide was called Monica and was excellent. She showed us some of the sights before taking us to our first stop. We went to 6 eateries in all with a selection of Venetian food. We also had 4 glasses of wine. We had more than enough to eat and was out for 4 hours. Can recommend to anyone.

This was a great experience. We started our tour around 9AM and, based upon the crowds later in the day, I think the earlier you can start in the day the better. It's quite a bit of walking so wear comfortable shoes. If you have a way to carry them, bring some overshoes/galoshes. As the tide rises St. Marks square actually floods and things get crowded in the dry areas. We had a great tour guide and we were provided short wave radios to listen in. I think most of the tour guides are well trained and they highlight many points of interest interspersed with the history of Venice. Great way to spend your first morning to get to know this unique city.
