Neighborhood: Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.

This small shop is just a treasure amongst so many tourist shops. The windows tell you immediately you have found a great place to see old and new items you want to own. The owner has been in the store since he was 16...its 3rd generation. He will share info you would never know about Murano glass and you can be assured you are buying the real thing. His comment that probably 90% of all "MURANO" glass paperweights in the shops are fakes from China makes you realise that if you want the real thing you must choose your shops wisely. He was very mellow and does not sell you anything....you just have to decide how many things you want to take home. I bought a beautiful pair of earrings with baroque pearls and small rubies...

I bought a lovely pair of earrings for myself (birthday present) in this store. I was drawn into it because, as other reviewers have said, it featured beautiful things in the window that other stores didn't have.
The owner was so pleasant and gentlemanly. I have worn the earrings a few times since returning home a week ago and both times women friends have admired them. I love that!

We randomly stumbled upon this place which drew us in and thank God for that! What a gem of a gentleman that runs the store. There was a genuiness to the vibe and the way he interacted with us and guided us greatly throughout the process of buying jewelry and a small Murano piece. He has limited, but unique and exquisite items displayed very well. And he is ever willing to show them to you. Not touristy at all and it's so refreshing when most stores in Venice are either selling knockoffs or are rude to tourists or simply don't care about you. I wish this store operates a long time. If you want some exquisite italian jewellery or trustworthy items please don't miss this place near the Rialto bridge.

My husband brought me to Venice to celebrate my 60 birthday , it was a total surprise , whilst out and about sightseeing we came across this beautiful little shop with the most stunning pieces of jewelry and Murano glass. We looked in the window and I saw the most lovely earrings . After a few days we wandered past again and went inside, I had been given monies by my Mother and partner and my in laws. The gentleman owner was so nice and so patient whilst I looked and decided on my choices.
He explained about his 7 generations of family business, about the style of the pieces based on the Venetian history , I had a cough and he offered me sweeties , and water. He was a true nice gentleman and the service given and time taken with explanations of items was second to none .
I came away delighted with my two pairs of earrings to remind me of my wonderful 60 birthday.

I love this shop. This is my second visit in two years and have brought some beautiful jewellery from this shop, all of which is inspired from old Italian designs. Well worth a visit especially if you are looking from something individual that no one else back home would have seen or own.
The owner is very welcoming too and friendly

The pieces in the window and in the shop are very different from the run of the mill, cheaply produced Chinese pretend Murano pieces one can find all over Venice. Most are inspired by period pieces from Renaissance or other Venetian period pieces, even including Roman glass jewellery, many pearls, combined with beautiful glass beads. All pieces seem to have been especially selected by the owner from a Venetian family who have owned this shop for generations. We had so much time and care taken over the earrings I finally selected, 145 Euros well spent on an individual design and great souvenir. The owner is very friendly, knowledgeable and mite than helpful and obviously genuinely interested in promoting beautiful and authentically modelled pieces rather than the mass produced items you see everywhere in Venice. His opening hours seem fairly flexible, and might yet return for another piece of simply beautiful jewellery or a small object. A great find !

I did a lot of window shopping in Venice and was thrilled to come across this store because they didn't have the same things I had seen over and over again in Venice.
The family have had the business for 6 generations (we chatted with the owner for a while) and I think have exquisite taste. He was incredibly knowledgeable about items I asked about and his prices were reasonable, given their high quality. I'm just sorry I live thousands of miles away and can't return often.

This shop in Venice sells beautiful Murano glassware - some of the pieces are exquisite and given their quality, are very reasonably priced. The owner/manager of the shop is very knowledgeable about the artists and techniques involved in making the pieces. If you want some high quality and unique pieces of Murano artworks, this is a place to visit.
