The clock is a highlight of Padova and sits at the end of a bustling square that always seems lively. You can't visit the building itself, just admire the clock from the square and then shop, eat or people watch. Well worth stopping to see.
To enjoy your time in the piazza, grab a table at one of the cafes. It's a good viewing point to appreciate the clock tower. After dark, it's nicely illuminated for a good image. Wait for the hourly set of bells ringing.
