Markets during the day and by evening out come the tables and chairs in readiness for people to enjoy their aperitivo and by nightfall the place is really alive with diners and visitors to the Piazza. Simply wonderful!!!

How on earth have places such as this not been ruined. Just sit down quietly, wait and look around you. Get a coffee and let the world pass by.

Just to sit here with some wine and watching the grandkids have fun and people watching was a treat! Need to go back when the stores are open to see some of the neat boutiques.

Padua is blessed with several lively and lovely squares. Thus is the third of four close together in the old city. Market during the day. Restaurants and stores galore. Historic buildings.

What seemed to be a beautiful plaza was full of vendors' stalls. Probably it was our bad luck that day as the nearby Piazza delle Erbe was filled with farmer stands too.

This was one of the oldest astronomic clocks A mandatory stop when you visit the fantastic city center of Padua The city has paid a great attention in preserving its heritage of buildings and sites. A jewel in the Venetian area.

Beautiful square, dominated by the clock tower, slap bang in the centre a stone's throw from Piazza della Frutta and Piazza delle Erbe. Many bars, restaurants and ice-cream places.
