The piazza is full of restaurants, full of life and laugher. Tourists and locals intermingle, this is café society at its best. The piazza is covered by tables in the Summer. This is one of the oldest, and one of the most civilised place on earth.

Despite the July heat we were at the Piazza 2 consecutive nights for drinks (Spritz) and dinner. It was quiter than Piazza del Erbe. We always try Italian local food- not pizza, which was excellent. Never did we pay more than €25 p.p. including drinks.

Like the other central historical piazzas, vendors fill it by day and diners and people-watchers in the evening. Many locals use these markets. This one features clothing, not touristy and not upscale. Each piazza has its own feel.

Local loves to seat in the day and evening in the square. The square is surrounded by bars, restaurants, pizzerias and ice-cream shops. It's a good destination to seat outside enjoying the surrounding.

The market closes down and they begin to bring out tables for dinner. Have a spritze or wine ,watch the action next door and move over as the tables fill around 7:30. What a perfect evening. The food is good as well.
