We were hiking the TMB and, after lunch at Cabane du Combal, decided to take a side trip up to see Lago del Miage. It was about a 10 minute walk up from the Cabane until we found the lake, as well as nearby glacial moraine. We enjoyed exploring and taking photos for a few minutes before heading back down.
This isn't a must-see, but given we were in the area and had some time, it was an enjoyable stop with some pretty scenery.

Wo went there from camping Monte Bianco "La Sorgente". Very nice trip full of beauties of mountinous nature finishing at ~ 2000m. Length of the trip (2 way) approx. 17 km.

After a beautiful, not too tiring walk we were struck by the beauty of this heart-shaped lake even if the level is unfortunately low and the glaciers around it are now almost non-existent...

We visited on a partly cloudy day. The lakes were unimpressive and the glacial moraines are a dirty blackish gray. We took the bus from Courmayeur to La Visaille and walked 50 minutes from there. Unless you are doing this route as part of the TMB, a trip just to see these little glacial lakes is not really worth it from the visual perspective.

A nice walk of about 1 hour and a half. Easy, almost entirely asphalted but with a steep slope. From the refuge onwards to the lake the route is rough and unmarked. The lake is small but picturesque for forma.di cuore.

Path difficulty E . For good walkers an hour uphill and 40 minutes downhill.
Pretty much all in the sun. I recommend hat and sunscreen.
As soon as you get to the refuge, a steep pavement starts and you arrive at the first heart-shaped lake. Just over two lakes that welcome the glacier.
A spectacle of nature.

Intrigued by the reviews we decided to visit this lake. Starting from the fact that the weather was not kind, it was raining and windy. I personally didn't like the road, it was almost entirely asphalted and still uphill (in the description it was written suitable for strollers, congratulations to the brave ones 😅), when you arrive at Lake Combal the landscape is wonderful, the autumn colors hinted a lot beauty. The refuge was obviously closed in the low season, but we continued on to Lake Miage. The signage from the refuge onwards is almost non-existent, we found it purely and thanks to Google Maps. I expected it to be much nicer. Cute, but probably years ago it was majestic.
