Situated right next to the gondola lift in Aosta that goes up to Pila.
Huge car park that always seemed crowded on the few times we visited for supplies.
Their salami chilled storage area was enthralling.
They have a ciabata with chocolate...great for calories and sugar for demanding teens as you're heading up the many hikes at Pila, and equally as good to fill stomachs in that time period between the end of walking for the day and eating out in Aosta...which typically livens up from 8pm.
Prices were reasonable on Italian sourced products. Other prices seemed high. Nearly 4 Euros for a pack of high end cookies that would cost much less in the USA.

So far, the best supermarket in Italy I`ve been to. Pity it`s not a chain store and is available only in the town of Aosta.

Big shop, loads of products, Many products were more expensive than I thought. There is however a great choice and they do specials on products which can be interesting.

I love Gros Cidac! Where else can you get so much Valdostanna produce in one place? Plus there is always Fontina being hand-cut and often there is also someone slicing up a gigantic Mortadella sausage. It's like a practical museum of tasty food. Loads of parking and opening hours that suit pretty much everyone. A real local experience.

There's a Carrefour store nearby but Cidac is in town and has lots of parking. Good for skiers coming off the gondola looking for groceries. Most of Aosta's locals shop here. Excellent cheese area, a good butcher with plenty of meat and the seafood area offers a good selection although not as good as the Carrefour. Groceries, alcohol, books, clothing, linens, etc. A stop at the coffee bar for cafe is a must. Some of the best tasting coffee I've had anywhere.

We like to visit here to stock up on Italian produce at very reasonable prices. Lots of good deals and huge choice. On our list for every visit to Aosta.

Very expensive supermarket...and I say this as someone who lives in Courmayeur.....bread simply from Bosio costs more than double per kg than in Courmayeur!! In Courmayeur a packet of bicarbonate costs 0.89 cents...at cidac 2.69 euros! Crazy stuff !!!! In my opinion you only work because you have everything... otherwise very expensive... let's not talk about fruit and vegetables!!!! Zero rating!

A wide range and choice of products mean that when I stay in Aosta, I always choose this hypermarket as a point of reference. Here I find order, cleanliness, freshness of the products, many convenient offers and last but not least, the kindness of all the staff!

Large store, like a Carrefour, very well stocked with various Italian products: cold meats, cheeses, pastas....etc, you can find everything including clothing, household products at prices lower than in France, alcohol is not inexpensive, it's definitely worth stopping there, the sheltered parking lot is large and practical
