We spent our yearly skiing week here this year. Village is nice and with one ski-pass you have access to several slopes, even going in France. There is a good mix of easy., medium and even difficult slope. Unfortunately with the price of ski-pass, I was expecting modern lifts. Last day there was wind and no list has the cover... More

Visited Planabell Hotel and Apartments for 1 week skiing. The apartment was very good, clean and spacious. WIfi was no good in the room but available in the Hotel lounge but slow. The complex is perfect for lifts and cable car. The Cage is good for drinks and pizzas etc. Grocery shop, butchers etc. in the Complex. The pool and... More

we stayed 21-28th jan 17, in la rosserie but skied la thuile everyday as la ross was so windy and cold, I agree with other reviews about cold lifts in a resort that is susceptible to high winds chairs needing covers - compared to la rosserie the terrain was so much keener and the blacks are black especially steep and... I ski for many years in La Thuile and I like very much the slopes, the teachers and the scenario. The thing that make me perplexed is that in all these years they don't modernize the chairlifts. This place can be really cold, the winds are very strong sometimes and make you freeze while you are going up on chairlift... More

La Thuile has to compete against much easier to access resorts in the Alps. They do seem to make the effort though and it's relatively cheap. There's a wide spread of good restaurants and bars. The campsite is decent and the free motor home car park with free electric is next to the river. It has a proper summer season... More

It is a very nice little place with a unique level of access to the mountain that you can ski on. Whilst being here I found that renting my skis and storing them for the four days I was there was extremely easy to do (easier than any other pace I have been to in-fact) However its a very calm... A great place to ski with wonderful views. amazing sunshine both times we've been. Not too busy on the slopes when we went (Easter). Plenty of lifts and lots of places to eat, on and off the mountain.

My husband and I were looking to take my non skiing parents and toddler away so that we could enjoy the "on tap babysitting" and get out and enjoy the slopes. Pre child we visited many French resorts such as Val Thoren, Tignes etc where you are really very spoilt for choice of runs etc in comparison to La Thuile.... More
