Part of the castle
Aug 2020
This tower is part of Castello di Buonconsiglio. You will visit it when you visit inside the cantle.

Very interesting.
Aug 2019
Book your Tower Tour (2 euros) at the castle entrance and you will be given a time. The guide we asked didn't speak English but we managed to find the starting point without too much trouble.
The audio guide is very good and gives lots of useful information with enough time to take it all in. The Cycle of the Months frescoes are really interesting with art depicting life at the time, e.g. more important people always painted bigger than less important people.
Without the audio guide you would miss an awful lot in the frescoes so it is well worth doing.

Top Tower Tour
Jul 2019 • Solo
The 2 euros extra for the audio guide tour is well worth it. Book your slot when you buy your entrance ticket and then you can either begin with the tower or tour a good bit of the castle first.
Most languages available but not as yet Portuguese for some reason. Luckily, the Brazilian visitors were Italian speakers as well.
Excellent commentary on the famous' Cycle of the Months 'frescoes . The feudal world class divisions were brutal in life but rather more glamorously depicted in Art.
Like other TA members 'I'll go with the snow' as my favourite. No spoilers either about the missing month.
Photos were allowed on my visit but of course without flash.

Interesting midieval art
Aug 2017 • Couples
The (mandatory) audio guide points out the many cultural aspects of the setting that the modern tourist might miss, explaining the gulf between nobles and peasants at the time. How this was presented in the art in the tower is fascinating.

Personalized tour with individual narrator device - Frescoes!
Apr 2017 • Family
This is a lovely tour which costs just a little extra to visit. The tour takes you to see a room of Frescoes that illuminate the typical activities that occur throughout the course of a year. Each month is represented with the exception of one which was lost. The individual tour device is fantastic for this tour as it allows you to hear a detailed description of each piece. This is wonderful! I am so glad that we decided to do this tour.

The cycle of the months is most interesting
Jan 2017 • Couples
This is a separate entrance from the castle. You can only go in on reserve timings so, check before going. They give you a audio guide and it will explain to you the frescos. The stay in the room is as long as the guide. So maybe 10-15 minutes perhaps. Do note that March is missing. Worth seeing the what people do 800 years before.

Must see frescoes
Oct 2016 • Couples
Incredible 15th century fresco cycle of the 12 months which are explained by the excellent audioguide included in the tour. The one thing you must see in Trenton.

Worth the trip to Trento
Jul 2016 • Solo
I would have loved to stay another hour at least to contemplate the 11 frescoes of the months of the year. Absolute masterpieces! Indeed one month is missing from the series and you will have to visit to find out how ;)

Magnificent frescoes!
May 2016 • Couples
The frescoes portraying the four seasons are extremely colourful and detailed, considering their age. A audio device in the language of your choice is provided for your visit to the tower. No photos are permitted, even without flash, in this section of the castle. This amazing insight into life in ancient Trento is definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful and Different
Mar 2016 • Solo
As per my review of the Castle, an extra 2 Euro is well spent to take this tour. Meeting place is on the third level up, just inside the curtain . Audio guides available in different languages, great idea. If you are interested in medieval frescoes, look no further. No pictures allowed, no views from tower, all about the frescoes.
