Just in the center mof the city. This is one of the most iconic and important churches of the city. Free entrance

Closes at around midday but finally managed to visit when the huge doors were actually open. Very atmospheric and full of historical importance of course. Beautiful stained glass.

The church is full of the most lovely paintings. Well worth a visit. I came across it by chance going down a side road to the Duomo. Take time to stop off, take photos and enjoy.

Nice, but not particularly memorable church in a country full of good churches. Go to the cathedral for something more unusual

Located between Piazza Dante and Piazza del Duomo, this was the site of many sessions of the Council of Trent. There is a beautiful rose window as well as some nice frescoes. You will enjoy the architecture both inside and out.
