This square is right in the front of the Train and Bus stations and it is usually crowded with strange people. Police is usually patrolling but it is definitely not the nicest area in Trento so I would skip it

I was looking forward to visiting this park after reading the previous review. We set off with high hopes but were quickly disappointed by the absence of the overwhelming odour of marijuana. I think that Kerry and Tim and ourselves should have swapped days! It was surprising and not pleasant. Beautiful spot non the less.

This is a lovely urban park with a nice pond and impressive statue of Dante. The tourist information center is located on it's southern side. Twice we walked through this park and found an overwhelming odor of marijuana permeating almost the entire park. It was surprising and not pleasant.

Pizza Dante is a lovely square in the heart of Trento, close to the bus and train stations. There is a little lake with ducks and a small fountain as well as a cafe, that also sometimes has live music. Every second week, there is a flea market that takes place from early morning until about 5 pm here.

A nice park in central Trento, where you can sit down and relax for a while.
Of course with a huge statue of Danti himself.
I guess that's all.

This square is just in front of the train station. Is really pretty, very green and you can see many ducks in the lake.

This is a fairly typical formal garden square of greenery, in this case with a statue of Dante Alighieri at its centre. Pleasant enough, but nothing more, and located just in front of the train station.

Given that the Trentino region was long in disputed ownership between Italian and Austrian/German forces, it was erected in 1896 as a symbol of the Italian-ness of the city, when the Trentino lay in the then territory of the Austro-Hungarian empire.

Great atmosphere and weather. Beautiful lake with ducks and sunny weather, near to bus station and city center. Great statue though.

Covered in snow and very cold, this piazza and park is a lovely place to visit! I can imagine it is beautiful too in Summer. The Dante statue is one of many things to admire here, there are also other sculptures and a pretty garden and lake to admire. As it was early January there was also an attractive nativity scene on one side of the park.

Alovely green open space with a fountain , water features, statues 7 trees. The bus & train stations are opposite.
However, some people may be uneasy about the presence of migrants as they tend to congregate around this area- the reality is they pose no problem to visitors. The do try to earn tips from travellers as they arrive at the bus & train stations.
