On a lovely August afternoon we booked our winery tour. 12/2 ratio of German speaking tourists to English speaking; luckily our guide "M" was very knowledgeable of it's history. He has presented the tour in a very entertaining way. Explored the vine yard a bit,...More

5 euros for the museum which was very interesting. We then tasted three lovely wines which the lady served with delicious Speck and Schuettelbrot.

We spent 2-3 hours touring this historic castle and learned so much. The tour was fantastic and the wine tasting was great. And, after our tour, they gave each couple a bottle of wine! This is a must-do for anyone staying in Merano!
