Easy to find off the main museum street. Here you will find numerous street vendors selling produce, smoothies, baked goods, etc. Fun place to wander and sample all the various items.

Very centrally located, and very near the main square, Piazza Walther or Waltherplatz, this is a wonderful street to stroll on, primarily because of the lively market(s) that make up much on either side of it. The markets make the Piazza one of the brightest areas of the old town, but be careful....buying a bit at this one and a bit at that one is somewhat like taking several inexpensive rides at a carnival - you may find your pockets empty as a result.
Along with the markets - many vegetable stands, flower stands, cheeses and meats, nuts and chews - there are a few restaurants squeezed in, and one great gelateria too.
I doubt the markets are open on Sunday, but they were thriving every day I was there.
The old center of Bolzano is a lovely place to stroll in, so you will probably find the Piazza delle Erbe easily, even if you don't happen to be looking for it. I'd suggest staying awhile, strolling and tasting and generally enjoying la dolce vita.

The historical Piazza delle Erbe or Obstplatz is more a wide street than a real square.
During the day it's the place of a market, where you can by typical products from South Tyrol, such as fruit, vegatables, herbs and the famous 'Speck'.
Hard to miss, but a place not to be missed in cental Bolzano-Bozen.

A nice square in the city center of Bolzano, with stalls selling mostly food (mostly local, but from other areas in Italy, tooh).

The street is lined with vendors selling fruits, flowers, meats, cheeses, and other delicacies and items. It makes for a lovely stroll and an opportunity to meet some locals.

This piazza is a market place. It has some fruits and vegetables but mostly it offers trinkets. If you simply travel through this place without stopping you will not miss anything.

A good street to walk down with a lot of different things to purchase. You will most likely use this street if you are visiting. Also many restaurants and shops on this street. Go hungry and enjoy sampling everything!

In Bolzano with friends for the Christmas Market. Walking through the city this is a nice section to take a walk. The season made it that much better.

Salve,
